Circus in town

Sanjay and I eventually left together. He stopped me by Abdul's house, I turned around and thanked him.

Not once did he bother to reply to me.

I got into the house, and Kashi was out in the garden with her entire family picking up some dresses for the wedding..

On my way up, Sanjeev and I bumped into each other.

It turns out that my presence here is making him uncomfortable.

Why?.. I thought about ignoring him, but unfortunately, he grabbed my hand and pushed me down the stairs.

I almost fell, if not for his dad's intervention.

"What the hell is your problem son, I saw what you did?".

Abdul help me to balance my feet on the ground..

The little drama made the entire family walks out of the garden and to meet us.

Sanjeev saw how much they stared. He takes out his hand and lied that everything was just an accident.

Seriously ! I almost rolled down the stairs and he says it was an accident..

I pulled up my hand to reply, fortuitously his dad's angry tone made me move aside and move aside

Abdul slapped his son in the presence of everyone there, shocking, but true.

Sanjeev stared at me with hate.

Do I really have to find someone just like pinky every where I go?...

Abdul apologized on his sons behalf, I shook my head and went straight to my room to rest.

The entire day, was spent resting my head. I haven't gotten the news about Abhishek's whereabouts, and not only that, Kashi, her husband to me and the Sameer, how will does Kashi know him..

It seems like I spoke to soon. Kashi walks past my bedroom, talking to someone on the phone.

I came outside and followed her to the kitchen.

There she made a glass of warm milk before going back to her room

I noticed her giggling. Let me guess,. Sameer must be the one calling her.

Two days later.......

Seven to be precise, the entire family was preparing for the festivity.

I came down to join them, but before that I phoned Avanti and Ayan.

Both their phones were switched off.

Is everything okay?...

Kashi and I bumped into each other on the stairs, she smiled at me and I smiled right back.

Kashi was a lot jovial today, oh yeah! Today is the day she gets married to Sameer at the temple.

No wonder she is a lot happier.

Her dad asked everyone to go up and get dressed, I walked into my bedroom and a dress was already waiting for me .

I turned back again and Abdul walks inside, wearing a warm smile.

"Do you like the dress?".

He points at it.

It was a skirt and crop top dress, of cause, a lot like my style.

"Yes sir, I love it, thank you so much,".

I ran ahead and hugged him.

Abdul pulls away and asked me to come down before the guest's arrives.

I shook my head and had the door locked, after he left.

I came down to meet the others, everyone was busy having fun.

The Festival of Lights is one of the biggest festivals in India.

It is also known as, Diwali.

Lamps a lit up at every corner of every house, and the celebrants line up outside their homes to merry.

Isn't it fantastic?

The entire family was there, even Sanjeev, all except for Kashi.

Did she perhaps leave to move Sameer up?

I looked around the party in search of her, her mom also asked me to bring her outside with the others, when I spoke about looking for her...

Where on earth, can she be?..

Luckily, I met her walking out of the kitchen with her friends, she saw me staring and grinned at the scene.

I came back and made sure Kashi didn't leave my sight.

It looks like she noticed how much I kept watching her, even more than the festival.

A lady comes to meet me seated.

She brought out her hand and wanted me to dance with everyone.

Her words, "It's a festival dear, don't just sit, why not dance,"

I got up and we danced around in a circle.

I moved my body, her my eyes were still staring at Kashi, I was busy looking at her when I accidentally Stepped on a lady's dress and tore it.

It was just a little rip, she however chose to create a scene.

Everyone gathered.  Abdul apologized on my behalf, or I did too but wasn't too concerned about it.

I turned back hoping to see Kashi where last I saw her.

She wasn't there anymore.

I left and came to her friends.

I asked them if they had seen her, yet no one had any idea and chose to remain daft.

Friendship. I wouldn't do the same thing if Avanti were in Kashi's shoes.

She must have requested them to act like they don't know anything.

I took off to Kashi's bedroom. There was still no sign of her, not even the maids saw her leaving

I came down looking for a clue.

A little girl with a drone ran past and pushed me.

Her remote control fell on the floor. She bent down to pick it up, right there an idea came to me.

Why don't I, check through her cameras, surly Kashi would be spotted.

"Hey child, may I please look through the footage you took from the party?"

I said as she turned around to face me.

I thought she was going to be a little defensive about it, but it was Diwali. Everyone is happy, or better yet, drunk.

"Sure! Here you go,"

She passed it to me.

I took the phone and saw through every footage, it was like a thousand in there.

I saw everything, all except for one.

The last footage was what I was looking for.

It was during the dance and accident that happened with that Lady's skirt.

Kashi left in the middle of the crisis and went out of the gate without anyone knowing about it.

Perhaps, did she go to get married to Sameer?..
