Danger

The lady looked at my attire and immediately figured out that I wasn't Indian.

Abhishek slept on my shoulders, I tried to drag me outside but he was too heavy, so I had to seek help.

A man carried Abhishek to his car, I thanked him and got into the driver's seat, and I saw that his keys weren't out.

"Abhishek, where are your keys?"

I tapped his shoulders.

He lowered my hand down and got it to his pants. I deepened my hands and pulled out the keys.

I got the car started afterward and we came home together.

"Abhishek,".

Mrs. Anuradha saw us coming, Abhishek was so drunk that while his mom was running to meet him, he dragged me ahead and we bumped into each other.

He lurched to his room alone. Mrs. Anuradha looked at me, she had her usual glare before leaving to meet her son

I had no idea what happened.

Why did Abhishek do this to his mother?

I'll have to find out.

I got so eager to know the truth that I walked towards his room, Mrs. Anuradha slammed the door as she walked in.

I came forth and eavesdropped on their conversation standing outside the door.

Mrs.. Anuradha asked Abhishek why he acted in such a manner. Abhishek laughed in return and I took heed of footsteps walking close the door.

I wanted to run away however, I heard immediately Mrs. A.nuradha calling out to her son

Abhishek gets infuriated and shouts. He blamed his mom for what was happening.

I got to find out that, Karan's sister was betrothed to  Abhishek, however, due to his mom being all over the idea that her son was going to marry a lady of a poor social background, she doing something and Abhishek was blamed for it.

I couldn't listen to what exactly she did when I caught Mr. Ajay walking in my direction.

I covered my face and ran down to the Kitchen.

Thankfully he didn't see me.

"Javelin, are you okay?."

Speak of the devil he walks into the kitchen to find me tensed.

I turned around and nervously shook my head.

He grinned a little and walked towards the fridge, I stood there and anxiously watched every movement

Mr. Ajay noticed the way I stared at him. He brought out a jar of water but before leaving asked if I was okay.

I shook my head and he left without saying a word.

I inhaled and exhaled.

I rode out of the kitchen, Mrs. Anuradha was just leaving her son's room and she didn't look happy.

I'm guessing, something happened in there.

However, what connection does Mrs. Anuradha share about the issue going on between Abhishek, Avanti, and the culprit Karan?

There must be something I don't know, Mrs. Anuradha is hiding something from her family and I will have to find out what.

I ran upstairs and on my way to see Abhishek, Avanti stepped out and we bumped into each other.

She asked where I was headed, I pointed to Abhishek's room door, and Avanti looked right at it and came back to ask me why.

What do I tell her?, Do I tell my best friend about the conversation I heard with her brother and mother or lie to her?

"Javelin, are you okay,"

She grabbed my thoughts back.

I laughed and said I only wanted to check on him.

Avanti rolled her eyes and walked away, I'm sure she's still mad at her brother.

I came to Abhishek's room, I knocked before entering, however, there was no sign of him in there.

Did he leave without me knowing?

I turned around to leave, however, a hand grabbed my wrist and pulled me back.

I fell on the bed eye locking with Abhishek.

"Hi, what are you doing here,"

He gently caressed my cheeks.

I got a little uncomfortable and tried to move, Abhishek however made all my efforts fail.

He spreads my hands apart. I looked hoping he hadn't done any wrong.

Abhishek pulled his lips closer, I closed my eyes with fear, and just when I thought something was going to happen.

He fell asleep on me.

I tried to pull him away, but Abhishek was so heavy, I struggled all by myself, and deep down I hoped that Mrs. Anuradha or anyone at home wouldn't find him this.

It was as if I spoke too soon, I heard someone approaching the door, and got frightened and managed to squeeze myself away from Abhishek squeezing me.

I got out of bed and made my way to the door, I held the doorknob and pulled it open.

Abhishek's parents stepped in front and we bumped into each other at the door.

"Hey, what are you doing in my son's room,".

She pushed me out of her way and ran in.

I turned back and saw her checking if Abhishek was still breathing.

I'm confused, did she think I was going to kill him?

I excused myself and left the room after seeing that.

Mr. Ajay grinned at me a little and begged me not to say anything.

I came into my room and sat heavily on the bed.

The feeling of Abhishek being so close to me, made me have naughty thoughts.

I rubbed my hair and fell my head on the bed.

Why I am feeling like this?

The following day, I came out for breakfast but met the breakfast table quietly.

Everyone seated there had serious looks on their faces.

Don't let me forget, Avanti.

I sat beside her waiting for breakfast, we were all served by the maids when we all took heed of a commotion happening outside.

Everyone came out, I walked behind the family and noticed reporters everywhere.

Mr. Ajay asked them why they came, a woman stepped out to confirm that articles about Avanti had been published.

She also said, even the article of Avanti being raped was also published.
