“How about you, Elora? You will just stay here?” He asked again for the third time, his brows slightly furrowed while waiting for my answer.

“I’m fine here, Aaron. Hihintayin ko na lang kayo rito. Azi? Enjoy yourself, baby.” I smiled at my little boy, trying to assure him that I was perfectly fine just staying by the shore.

He pouted, his lips pushing forward in that adorable way, when he heard me say no again. His small shoulders slumped, a clear sign of his disappointment.

Aaron, however, didn’t easily give up. I noticed him calling Duke, his hand lifting subtly as he gestured something quick and discreet—something I couldn’t quite catch. Duke responded with a short nod, his eyes steady, before quietly moving to position himself behind me.

I listened quietly while they continued their meeting for a few more minutes. Some of the board directors were also present, all seated seriously while presenting their reports. I could hear the sound of papers flipping, the faint hum of the air conditioner, and Aaron’s calm yet authoritative voice filling the room. When the meeting finally ended, the board of directors started standing up one by one, politely saying their goodbyes to Aaron before heading out. Naiwan kaming dalawa ni Aaron sa loob kasama nina Aunt Laura, Aunt Susan, at Uncle John. The atmosphere suddenly felt warmer and more personal compared to a while ago. “Hija, how are you? I’m glad that you’re here,” Aunt Laura greeted with a gentle smile. I smiled back and glanced at Aaron, who was now looking at me softly. “We heard what happened…” she continued, her tone turning emotional. “We want to apologize for it, Elora. Aaron told us everything. And w

“Aaron…” I moaned when his hand touched my breast. His kisses were slow but deep. “Sh*t, Aaron. Someone might see us here,” I muttered with heavy breathings from our long kiss. “No one will enter, don't worry.” He whispered huskily. My head tilted back when his kisses went to my neck. “I'm not here for this,” I mumbled and swallowed hard. I felt him smirking while kissing me. “Too bad then, I was longing for you. You're just in the right time.” He lifted my skirt up revealing my thighs and underwear. He looked at me and licked his lips. He put me again on his table and he sat on his swivel chair. And now, my legs are spreading apart to him, on his table like I am his food. He took off my skirt and left my maroon undies on.

Now that I finally remember everything, he explained everything to me, patiently and honestly, without holding anything back.“Leave it to me, okay? I will make sure that they will pay for it. They will pay for what they’ve done—to you, and to us,” he said with firmness in his voice, his eyes filled with determination.I looked at him, and for the first time in a long while, I felt peace in my heart. I trust Aaron. He proved to me that he would never turn his back on me.He had been working on it all along—quietly, patiently, and strategically. While I was still struggling to remember everything, he was already making moves behind the scenes. He was taking it slow, waiti

“I’m sorry that I didn’t have a chance to listen to your explanation,” I said softly, my voice trembling as I felt the weight of everything I had done. The words escaped like a confession long buried, heavy and fragile, as if releasing them could finally loosen the chains I had wrapped around my heart. For the first time in a long while, the tightness in my chest wasn’t from anger—it was from regret. A slow, aching kind of regret that seeped into every breath. He shook his head gently, and before I could look away, his hands found my arms—firm, steady, grounding me in a way that made my heart ache. His touch was familiar, too familiar, like the warmth of a place I once called home. My knees almost gave way from the weight of memory. I lowered my gaze, afraid that meeting his eyes would undo the fragile strength I’d built to stand before him. But he tilted his head, his voice silent but his intention clear—he wanted to see me. Really see me.And when our eyes finally met, it was like t
