Chapter 58: Grant pov

“I don’t want to end anything between us, I just want us to move a little slower. Can you allow me that?”

Her words are spoken with a little hurt present in her voice, and I feel guilty all over again for how I reacted. All she has been asking for is to not move too quickly and that is perfectly reasonable.

When I left earlier it was because I didn’t know how to handle my emotions, I was overwhelmed and needed to clear my head. I never thought that she would react so badly to my actions and looking back it was completely obvious that she would think I left her.

I was ignoring my phone and just driving with no destination in mind until eventually I stopped and parked up.

My phone rang and I answered it but had to pull it away from my ear when Ellis started yelling through the line at me.

“Are you completely insane?! Where are you?”

“Why are you calling me Ellis?”

“Why? Why? Did last night completely fry your brains? I was content laying with my girl, and all was right until she
