Chapter 34. The Car Will Be Yours

Callie couldn’t help but laugh. It was obvious the kids didn’t like Pricilla. It was the same as saying, ‘I want you guys to break up.’

Pricilla looked fiercely at Callie “What are you laughing at?”

“Huh, me? Didn’t you watch the show?” Callie pretended not to understand where she went wrong. She instead pointed at the television which was showing a cartoon movie.

Pricilla was speechless for a moment. She was sure Callie was laughing at her. Now she felt ignored again. Even Mike, who had asked her a question earlier, no longer cared whether Pricilla would answer him or not. Instead, he joined Callie and Mika in watching television.

Pricilla’s awkward position was helped when Mrs. Smith came and invited everyone to lunch. She declined the invitation because she was going to the company for lunch with Cade.

Callie thought it was ridiculous that this girl was still trying to appear that her relationship with Cade was okay. But it was the children who pouted when Pricilla left.
