Chapter 5

“Myrtle, let us go,” Cypress whispered and pulled me away of the area which I secretly thanked him for.

For pulling me away of trouble, away of that master Ash who was always the cause of my mischief this day.

“Where are we going?” I asked after noticing that we have been walking for a while now.

“Let us go to the canteen. It is my treat,” he replied without stopping.

I could not help myself from smiling as he never failed from helping me out every time we meet each other.

He knew that I can not enter the canteen since whenever I take a first step inside, the students would immediately glare at me like they wanted to say that they do not want me there.

I would rather stay at the class room if not because Cassine wanted me to tour her around the school.

“Cypress!”

“Join us class president.”

We heard different students calling for him since I remember him becoming really famous in first year because he was the one who represented us in the orientation for first year students.

He got the highest general weighted average which made him get the opportunity of delivering a speech in front of every one.

Well, I also admit that he got the looks everyone would fall for.

I even remembered why he got the position of class president not like me who got it because my classmates only wanted to make fun of me.

Everyone voted for him even me because he was not only intelligent, it is because he is also very kind.

After a while Cassine joined us to the table. She looked disappointed though.

I wanted to ask her about it but I do not want her to be uncomfortable as we just met today.

I do not want her to think that I am so nosy and misunderstood the reason why I am asking.

“Ahhhh!”

“Master is here, ahhhhh!”

“Oh my G!”

I immediately rolled my eyes as soon as I heard those familiar screams which I always hear whenever I come here to the canteen.

Why do they always need to scream? It is not like he will notice them if they waste their time doing that tsk tsk.

“Uhm, I will just go get a water,” I heard Cassine say.

Now, I am the only one in our table since Cypress also went to the counter to get us our snack.

Hmmm, while waiting for them I will just review for our next lesson first. I remember our next subject teacher announcing about a long quiz this morning. I have to be prepared.

What is that?

I abruptly turned around to look at where the loud noise came from only to find my new friend kneeling in front of a mons... of the master.

Sh*t w-what is happening?

It is then when I realized that Ash was already drenched in water and beside him was a broken glass which I think is from Cassine.

Ack, what did you do Cassine? I thought we already agreed of staying out of trouble?

“I-I am so... sorry Ash. U-uhm let me help you clean it. P-please forgive me I was not looking at where I am walking,” I heard her plead but it seems like the monster is not convinced and only looked at her with a blank expression.

“Sorry? Do you think that is the only way you can appeal with what you did to the master?!” A man who I think was his minions yelled.

They were the ones who are responsible for making a student’s life miserable whenever Ash was not pleased with them.

And now.... I think Cassine will be like the previous students who gave up from going to school too.

I knew I should be helping her right now but the advises from my parents immediately replayed in my mind.

I... I can not get into trouble right now.

“What are you waiting for?!”

I almost jumped up of my seat after I heard them yelling at Cassine.

Even the other students around were looking worried at her since this is the first time a lady got in Ash’s negative side.

“She already said sorry. Is it not enough for you?”

I abruptly titled my head again to confirm that it was Cypress who stood up in the crowd to save Cassine.

I felt so guilty for bowing my head like a coward when my friend is already in danger.

“Class president, we do not want to hurt you because we respect you so please step a side and leave our business alone,” the minion squad’s leader said.

“Ficus, if you really respect this school then you should not be following someone who only wanted to use his powers for his own sake,” I almost clap after Cypress finished his statement.

Waaah, very well said you really are our class president!

“What did you just say?” Ash then for the first time spoke while forming a smirk on his face.

“It is true. It is not because you are the queen’s son then you should be acting like the way you want it. You should be a good leader and...”

“Ahhh!”

Every one screamed as soon as they saw the class president get thrown on the wall.

That Ficus was very strong that with only one punch Cypress got slammed to the wall.

“Cypress!” I immediately called for his name while running towards his direction.

I can see how he was having difficulties in breathing but he was still trying to get up.

“ARE YOU REALLY THIS EVIL?!”

Everyone were surprised including me who shouted at the master’s face because of anger.

I immediately regretted it as I knew that my promise to my parents especially to myself is broken.

Ack, I always advised myself to stay out of trouble and now I am here yelling at the most dangerous person in the University.

“Does she have a death wish?”
