Chapter Two

Kiara POV 

It was early morning ,I was cleaning the compound with smiles plastered all over my face examining the beauty of nature in the garden .

“ This is so beautiful” I whispered with my hands trailing down the surface of the necklace clasped in my tiny palms which could not make me help but wonder.

I was observing the necklace I had left with me by my parents clutching in my little hands the glow bright like the morning sun.

The necklace was the only item that could make me connect with my lost family.

" You !How dare you steal my necklace ?“ Amelia's voice rang ,her eyes blazing with fury and my arms trembled as she snatched the necklace from me.

Amelia was Lucas closest friend who he had always discussed pack matters with and also a strong potential as candidate for Luna selection.

I rolled my eyes not understanding what she was saying.

" What do you mean it's mine it was left to me by my parents! “ I replied in a broken tone,my voice heightening with hot tears slipping down my face.

“ You claim this is yours, what a joke” her lips curled into a smirk , mockery coloring her tone with a gleam in her eyes.

" You are just a servant of the black wind tribe, how can you afford such an expensive necklace? “ she threw the question at me, clenching her teeth angrily which send a sliver of ice straight into my heart.

“You must have stolen it “she snapped with an impassive look on her face.

“No Amelia please give it is the only memory I have of my parents “ I blurted out pleading with tears as she eyeballs me with heart ache running painfully in my chest.

“You are just an orphan without a wolf still dreaming of finding your parents, how ridiculous “she said firmly her words hurled in disdain shooting me a glare.

I swallowed those words which felt like an arrow sticking in my chest.

“Who upset our Amelia again ?”Alpha Lucas emerged from the shadows, his voice thundering as he stood on the staircase with his hand dipped in his pocket.

“ What's going on here ?” He inquired with a grin stretching on his face.

“Lucas this wretched Kristen stole my necklace “she snarled complaining to him.

“Alpha Lucas it's not like that this necklace belongs to me “ I said with sobs clawing up my throat.

“ Really ?”Amelia scoffs stepping closer,her voice rising.

“ She stole it this is my necklace the one I bought from the auction”she yells at me as she clamps a hand at my throat.

“ Amelia stop “ I begged as I choke out 

“ This necklace is not yours it is mine “I said and Lucas waffles his eyebrows.

“Alright Amelia stop bullying her it's just a necklace give it back to her “ he commanded as they exchanged glances before she pulled her hand away from my throat.

“ Alright Lucas “ she replied with a sweet smile .

“And kiara remember to come to the office to see me later “ he ordered, his voice was cold before striding out of the backyard,his footsteps echoing as he disappeared out of our view.

“As if I'd give it back to you “ Amelia spat heading for her room .

Amelia clutched the necklace into her palms tightly refusing to give up my prized possession her heels sharply clicking as she disappeared from my view.

“Moon goddess grant me my wolf ” I prayed under the dark moonlight so I could be free from all Amelia troubles.

I descended the stairs carefully,my steps heavy with knots coiling in my belly as I walked towards Alpha Lucas office.

I didn't know why Alpha Lucas had me to report to his office.

‘Oh my God you taste good and I want you inside of me “ I recognized the voice and a chilling sensation ran through my spine.

For unknown reason, I couldn't forget that voice as I swallowed the nervous lump in my throat .

I pushed the door open and I found Amelia entangled with Lucas planting kisses all over his neck with his hand sliding down her thighs.

“I need you “ The air caught in my throat as my body went still .

“ Lucas How can you do this to me? “ My voice cuts through the air sharply with a wave of irritation .

Lucas pressed his hand against Amelia belly kissing her passionately unfazed by my attitude.

“ You are intruding my privacy don't you know how to knock?” he snapped and the familiar fear clawed in my chest his fingers curling tightly around the fabric of Amelia dress.

“Kiara I shouldn't have called you in at this time but our leader just loves me so much “ Amelia said her arms tightened around him.

“Alpha Lucas you and her” I stiffened with his dark eyes staring at me his fingers resting on the curve of her waist.

“Since you are here why don't you join us I always wondered how you taste “ he said his deep voice sending an unfamiliar heat rushing through my veins.

“Is that as tasty as she is?” I swallowed hard my face contorting in anger with a smirk teasing on the edges of his lips.

I froze with my heart racing in my chest with a victorious smile curling on Amelia lips

“Don't even think about it “ I replied shooting him an annoyed glare.

“How dare you defy your leader It's your honour as a lowly she wolf to have me as your first mate “ he snapped rolling his eyes at me.

“Such an ungrateful wench “ Amelia shot back coldly,her words cutting through the air like a whip.

“I will never sleep with someone like you “ I whispered and his lips brushed against Amelia earlobe igniting a spark.

“Amelia give me back my necklace and I will be on my way “ I murmured with tears slipping down my cheeks.

“Give it back to you don't even dream about it “ she gritted her teeth as she despised me more than anything else.

“Kiara you are just a lowly servant only fit to wear a dog collar “ My jaw clenched in anger as those words escaped from his lips.

“ I hate you Lucas “ I groaned under my breath my voice cracking.

“ You are so cruel Lucas how could you do this to your own mate” I screamed 

“Is that because I love Amelia nobody resist me I'm the Alpha “ he answered clicking his tongue taking a cautious step towards me slamming me against the wall holding me by my throat.

“ Get your fucking hands off me you disgust me “ I snarled loosening myself from his tight grip with a scowl covering his face.

“ How could you?” 

Before he could take a step further,a wave of dizziness hit me as I dropped dead on my knees.

“Finally I meet you Kiara I'm your wolf Alice “ I heard a voice ringing in my head as my eyes darkened .

“How could it be She's awakening her own wolf “ Lucas stated as my eyes glowed brightly.

“My dear I can finally tell you who your partner is It's Alpha Lucas and he is right here” Alice my wolf whispered telepathically.

“ No no it can't be there must be a mistake” I shouted my voice echoing in the room like thunder.

“ I am not wrong “ she responded.

I turned my gaze in Lucas direction,

“ I was your partner all this time and you still have the nerve to sleep with Amelia?” I questioned him angrily.

 And so what?Know your place Kiara I have already given you a favour ,I'm willing to sleep with you and you are still dreaming about becoming my Luna” he scoffed with a devilish grin tugging on his lips.

“Amelia is the daughter of the elders head to toe and she is more noble than you “ He declared with a smug look plastered on his face.

“Lucas why waste time talking to her If she dares defy you just throw her out of the tribe let her become a lone wolf “ Amelia cut in sharply wrapping her arms around Lucas neck.

“No no Lucas you can't do this to me “ I whispered my voice barely a whimper.

 Before he could say anything else, his guard rushed in panting heavily with beads of sweat stretching on his forehead.

What is wrong with you? Can't you see I'm busy and don't you know how to knock “ a frown settled on his face .

“ What happened and why were you interrupting my peaceful moment ?” he turns back to the guard .

“Alpha I'm sorry but Alpha Theodore came to inspect our tribe “ the guard murmured his voice breaking.

“ Alpha Theodore?” he asks his eyebrows creasing in frustration.

“Please go meet him” his voice was trembling with the scent of fear choking him.

“Lucas you should go” Amelia says with concern coloring her tone.

“I heard that the alpha is a ruthless tyrant “she continued.

“Lock this bitch in the warehouse after he leaves I'm gonna have my way with her” he walks out closing the door behind him.
