“Vivienne, please? We can’t finish the work if we didn’t agree.” Jessica insisted. She was even smiling slyly. I know she was just playing Cupid again.
“Fine.” I finally agreed and took the rug from Chris. It’s fine to sweep the top area than mopping the floor.
I climbed to the ladder while keeping myself from wincing. I use my right hand that was injured, to sweep the top of the lockers, while my left hand was leaning for support. It was the hardest duty I had ever done in my entire life. But I managed to survive and endure it until we’re done.
Chris and Jessica bid goodbye. They offered to have lunch with them but I declined. I have my plans, anyway.
