The creases on my face deepened as I focused deeply on the words typed in the ageing book.

"Rebirth? What does this have to do with rebirth? Come on, that's just a myth," Gavin said, but I didn't heed. For I knew without a doubt that it wasn't just a myth.

When I didn't move, he leaned forward. "Read it out loud. I also want to hear it."/

I looked at him and cleared my throat.

"Rebirth isn't a usual occurrence. It could only happen if a wolf is blessed by the creator of all creations. A wolf can be born again in two ways. His spirit could be born in another body years later or be sent back in time. It is a chance to change the future because the wolf had endured severe injustice. The wolf could be given powers or a special ability to overcome the adversaries and emerge triumphant."

I scrunched up my nose in confusion whispering to myself. "But that doesn't make sense. Iris is weak. She doesn't have any powers…"
