Diane stared at the strip mindlessly, raising the kit closer to her eyes to be sure she wasn't having any problem with her vision

Mixed emotions flowed through her veins as she dropped the kit on the sink and came back to the bed. She suddenly felt numb because the tears immediately stopped flowing. She couldn't help but wonder how one night of bad sex for her would get her such type of outcome. At a point, she did wonder if she was cursed or if it was mere rotten luck. Or both. And she wondered if this had happened earlier in the marriage, whether her marriage with Michael could have survived.

She sighed, climbing into the bed and pulling the duvet over her slender shoulders, putting her honey colored hair into a bun. The thing now was that she was pregnant, so the only remaining thing she had to do was tell the man who was responsible. Michael.

The next morning, she had woken up early, after the morning rays had been harshly shooting it's rays at the glass windows, reflecting the warm light on her face. She had washed up, eaten breakfast and had decided to go back to the house to get some change of clothes then she was going to do the next important thing on her list.

Go see Michael.

She arrived in the cab at her house and got out. Another surprise met her there, her things were out on the front porch, every one of them.

Confused at what was happening, she walked up the stairs and into the house, opening the door with the house code.

"Better not be who I think that is -" It was Estelle who called out as she came to the hallway, meeting Diane right where she was.

"Estelle, why is my stuff outside? And not in my room?" Diane asked her stepsister who looked like she was ready to throw her right out where her stuffs were at.

Estelle ran her a look, walking past her, "We need to change this door code and stop letting strangers into our house, mum!"

"Who's there?" Another female voice called from inside, followed by footsteps approaching.

Diane turned to Estelle, confusion plastering her innocent face as she watched her stepsister change the door code right in front of her.

"What's going on?"

"What isn't going on, drama queen?" Estelle shot back.

Diane shook her head, "I don't understand what you're talking about.

"Why don't I help your short-term memory recall, then?"

Diane saw her stepmother, Dorathy, who had joined them in the hallway. "Mum-"

"Don't f*king call me that, b*tch. The only person linking us both is dead already so don't make that mistake ever again!"

Estelle scoffed, twirling her hair and watching Diane's shocked face looking back at both of them. Left for her, Diane deserved whatever was happening to her and she couldn't care less.

"You stole a huge part of the company shares from the same company your father had worked hard till his death? Making the company almost go bankrupt!" Dorathy said in a loud tone. "You think we wouldn't find out? Is that what you've been up to at the Belmont house?! Did you plan this with them?!!"

"I'm sorry I-"

"I don't want to hear that flimsy apology out of your mouth, crook!" Dorathy snapped, cutting her short. She was fuming at the sight of Diane, and she wanted her out of her sight as soon as possible.

"I swear I don't know what's going on.." Diane replied, her voice cracking for the first wave of tears that were about to pool out that morning. She felt betrayed already by everyone, and accusing her of stealing was something she would have sworn would never happen to her.

"You're so wicked," Dorathy continued. "And it serves you right that Michael found out about your cheating ass." Now get the hell out of here and never show your face, crook!"

Before Diane could utter any more words, Estelle grabbed her by her hair and shoved her out the door, flipping her off and banging the door shut in her face.

Diane stood dejected outside the house, wiping the tears off her cheeks as the piercing feeling of hurt in her heart continued to increase by the second. She couldn't tell if it was the pregnancy hormones but she was really crying a lot lately.

She took her stuff, packing them a bit one after the other and managed to return to the hotel room. There, she had cried for a bit, thrown up some more, changed into some new clothes, touched up her makeup to hide her swollen eyes and made her way to the Belmont company. To see Michael.

She wanted to tell him she was carrying his baby. No. She needed to tell him she was carrying his baby.

She went straight to Michael's office and with the free access she had without anyone stopping her, she assumed that they had not yet gotten the info that she no longer worked there.

As she stood in the hallway outside his office, preparing herself to face him, her hands fidgeting on the doorknob and her heart pounding in her chest, she could hear a little noise coming from inside the room. It sounded like grunts and quiet moans.

Without thinking, she abruptly twisted the doorknob and opened the door, then walked into Michael's office.

The sight she saw before her was Michael having his head thrown backwards, with his eyes shut and his right hand down his thighs.

Immediately he heard her come in, he opened his eyes. And as soon as his gaze fell upon her face, his expression switched from pleasure to irritation.

From in between his legs, Tiffany straightened up, wiping her mouth clean, smudging her lipstick and pulling her shirt over her shoulders.

"What's up, Mikey?" Tiffany asked, then turned around to see Diane standing in the office room, tears in her eyes. "Oh great, way to ruin a fun time," Tiffany commented with an eye roll.

Diane's gaze switched from Tiffany who had her chest still exposed, giving a clear view of her large breasts to Michael who sat indifferently, his expression growing to become angry.

"What are you doing here?" Michael thundered.

"Did you frame me up and act all that drama for this?" Diane asked.

"Don't be ridiculous, Diane. I made myself clear that I did not want to see you again." Michael replied.

"How could you Michael? How could you?!"

"Oh of course, the drama queen came with a bit more drama today," Tiffany replied slyly, pulling down her underwear and dropping it slowly and seductively on Michael's office table.

Michael turned his gaze to Tiffany while still replying to Diane, "Since you are not going to give us the privacy, if you find pleasure in this too, you might as well watch us."

With that, he grabbed Tiffany's waist making her yelp in excitement. He traced his hand to her thighs and then under her mini skirt, pulling her to him and positioning her to fit on his d*ck perfectly.

They both moaned at the gesture while Tiffany stuck out a tongue at Diane.

Diane couldn't take this anymore. She hated everyone, everything around her, how she felt and the fact that she was carrying his baby which he was still unaware of.

She gave up on telling him and instead with the pain she felt in her heart and the tears which were now uncontrollably flowing out, she turned around and walked out.

Just as she shut the door from outside and turned around to leave, she bumped into someone.

Diane's head throbbed. Badly. The pain felt like there was a drill boring holes into different parts of her head impatiently and making her want to cut her head off. She blinked a bit, scrunching up her face and groaning, a poor attempt to make the pain go away. She had no idea why she was feeling this intense pain and why everything, including her head, felt heavy. "Is she waking up?" A male voice asked in the distant background. She couldn't recognise the voice, and she didn't try to either. "I think so," A female replied this time around. Diane pushed further, attempting to open her eyes. As she did so, the rays of light from around the room rushed into her eyes forcing her to shut them immediately. She groaned as she went for a second attempt, this time a bit slower. She was successful as she opened it this time around and was met with a white ceiling and surrounding white walls. She looked around, studying her surroundings and trying to make out where she was, when a stand

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, I didn't see you there," Diane muttered hurriedly with her head down and walking past whomever it was. There was no way she was letting anyone see her in this condition. Not when she had seen the man she was entirely in love with and was pregnant for have sex right in front of her without a care. "Diane?" A male voice called out gently. "It's you, Diane."Diane stopped in her tracks, wiping her tears rapidly and turning to face the man who had just called her. It was Nathan, the man she had known to be Michael's male best friend. She had only seen him on countable occasions which were the few times in college, on their wedding day and the first time she had started working in Michael's company. And up until the moment, she hadn't seen him. She cleared her throat, "Hey Nathan," "Are you okay?" Nathan asked, peering into her face. "You don't really look so good."Diane faked a smile as she met his eyes, shaking her head sideways. "I've just got a lot

"You can't do this Michael, please," Diane's cracked voice spoke up as her vision blurred from the tears forming. "Should have thought about that before cheating, Diane," Michael replied. "Do you not trust me?" Michael scoffed, "Don't speak to me about trust now,""Michael... Even if we're not married, we're best friends. We've been best friends since college. You should know I wouldn't do this," Diane said, shoving the pictures in his face. "Th...these are fake. You know."Something flickered in Michael's eyes for a moment. Deep down, Michael may have also wanted to believe her, to believe what she was saying. But these weren't just pictures that had been anonymously sent to him through the mail. These were pictures he had secretly been collecting of her since after a month they had been married. He had not wanted to believe she would do such a thing to him either when he had gotten the first evidence in his phone then. But after he had asked a bodyguard to follow her and keep ta
