If everything was suddenly going as expected, things were going better than you had imagined. It was a bad omen. With Clarissa and Nelly out of our lives, things were easier at home. I was finally getting used to being the mistress of the mansion. My future mother-in-law was also out of communication with me it was as if she had lost interest in the marriage plannings all of a sudden. To me, it was an amazing thing. It seemed everything was working for my good. My match-making duty was also going fine. I could see the friendship budding between Nick and Jenny; I was proud of myself. I just wanted to try, I had no idea I was going to make such an impact on them.
