Luisa’s POV

I wasn’t wicked. I wasn’t the type that sees others in pain and gets happy, but I was when I saw Derek there.

I thought it would be a painful experience, but it was just the closure I needed – knowing he wasn’t anywhere that could be dangerous to my family. Knowing he couldn’t escape gave me some peace of mind.

After walking a few distances from him, Kingston stopped us, “Are you okay?”

I frowned. I know he was trying to protect me, but I wasn’t some kind of weak female. I wanted him to know that. “I’m fine.”

He didn’t smile, “I just want to make sure you are really fine. It’s your first time seeing such a sight.”

That’s true. I might have felt pity for someone else, but I didn’t feel pity towards him. We continued walking, and an idea boomed in my head, “How about we celebrate?”

“Celebrate.”

I nod, “Remember that we couldn’t go on our honeymoon because of the situation. How about we start our celebration now?”

He raised a brow in astonishment.
