Feeling Hurt

“You have to take responsibility for me!“ Deanna shouted while crying. The woman hit Meazus several times right in front of the company's main door. The two people standing behind Meazus now stepped forward to hold Deanna's hands.

”Are you pregnant?” Meazus asked expressionlessly.

Deanna held back her tears for a few seconds, but did not answer the question from the man wearing a black suit.

Many people were passing by near them, and some stopped to watch the argument from a distance.

Meazus put both hands in the pockets of his linen pants. “I'll ask again, are you pregnant?”

Deanna clenched her fists and glared back at Meazus. “I'm not pregnant, but I'm not a woman who's paid to satisfy your desires! I—”

“Come back to this company and see me if you're pregnant.” Meazus cut Deanna off and walked toward the car that was already parked for him.

Deanna's wrists, which had been gripped by the two large men, were now released. “If you think reporting this to the police will solve the problem, you're wrong.”

Deanna watched the luxurious car drive away from her. The beautiful woman in the white sweater pulled her black hair with mixed feelings. “I was raped and threatened?! This world is truly crazy!”

Deanna finally returned home feeling shattered. Deanna's heart and self-esteem were completely shattered because of men. Her boyfriend was caught cheating with her step-sister, and she wanted to vent her frustration by going to a famous bar.

Deanna went alone for the first time; she knew nothing about the bar or the types of drinks there. Deanna ordered a drink that turned out to have a high alcohol content and ended up in the same room as Meazus.

“You have to marry the woman I choose because you lost the tender.” The middle-aged man seemed to down his tequila in one gulp.

The large lounge was occupied by only two people: Meazus and his uncle.

“Sure.” The man sitting on the black sofa glared at his uncle. “When is the wedding?”

He frowned. “Don't you want to meet her first before the wedding?”

Meazus glanced at his watch with a bored expression. “I don't need time for that. I can see her face at the altar later. Besides, this marriage won't last forever. I just need to marry that woman, have a child, and divorce her. After that, I can marry Luna, the Moon Goddess's choice, whom I've liked for the past three years.”

“Did you not read the entire contract, Mr. Meazus?” The middle-aged man smirked. ”If she gives birth to a boy, you cannot reject her. That means you cannot marry your beloved future Luna, even though you’ve been in a relationship for three years.”

“I have a strong feeling that she will give birth to a daughter and we will divorce.” Meazus stood up from the black metallic sofa and left, leaving her uncle still smirking at Meazus' unchanging nature—stubborn and a bit arrogant.

Two weeks later, the wedding was finally held, and all the wedding expenses were covered by the groom's side. The white decorations symbolizing the purity of the marriage were merely decorations in Meazus' eyes.

The luxurious wedding stage, reminiscent of a European royal wedding, made it seem as though both parties desired the marriage, even though they had never even met.

"I never thought I would end up marrying a man I don't even know.”

Deanna and Meazus truly kept their promise to meet for the first time at the altar. Deanna had never seen Meazus' face, and vice versa. In truth, this marriage was a risk, but Meazus never considered that.

Meazus was already in love with another woman and had promised himself he would never love Deanna, even though they were husband and wife.

Deanna also decided not to feel anything for Meazus, even though he looked very handsome.

The beautiful woman in the white dress stared at herself in the mirror. A woman should be very happy on her wedding day, but Deanna wasn't.

“My life is truly miserable. Betrayed by my boyfriend and forced to marry a man I don't love,“ Deanna thought to herself. She wanted to cry, but didn't want her makeup to smudge. Today was Deanna and Meazus' wedding day, and they would see each other for the first time.

”I've already 'slept' with another man. Can my future husband accept that bitter truth?“ Deanna growled in frustration. ‘I can't even accept that bitter truth, let alone him.’

”Deanna?“

She accidentally bumped into her father in the hallway. He gave her a faint smile and offered his arm for her to hold.

”The priest's blessing ceremony will begin shortly.”

Deanna sighed softly. Luckily, she had already finished with her makeup and wedding dress. So she didn't have to worry about anything.

Actually, Deanna no longer cared about her fiancé's expression when he saw her for the first time. There was a possibility that their marriage wouldn't go smoothly because they hadn't taken the time to understand each other's personalities before deciding to marry.

“You look very happy, Dad. Are you happy to see me suffer?” Deanna asked as they stood in front of a closed brown door.

The middle-aged man looked at Deanna with a sad expression. ‘You won't suffer with him. He's a wealthy man.’

Deanna knew for sure that her parents had a plan to gain some advantage.

At that moment, the door opened, and the two people inside began entering the church for the wedding ceremony. All eyes turned toward Deanna, including the man in the white suit. Meazus stood tall, his posture resembling that of a prince from an European kingdom.

Deanna's heart was racing, not because she was in love, but because she was shocked by what her eyes were seeing. Meazus!

Wasn't this the man who had assumed Deanna was a prostitute and taken her virginity without remorse?

Meazus smirked as he looked at Deanna from three meters away. “Isn't the world so small for us?” he thought to himself.
