I thought bitter words hurt, but his ignorance, his denial of me hurts more then anything, as if am stabbed, but there is no blood, no wounds, yet it pains so much.

Adrian’s pov.

“Sir, your home is breached.”Thomas spoke.

Getting up from the chair, the view of the city appeared, from the glass to ceiling walls, curiosity rose,in me.

Who dares to enter my home without permission.

“It’s Ma’am.” I breathed out, a uncomfortable feeling grew in me, suffocating me, my hands touched my chest, where the scar is left.

The night engraved in my skin, the bullet didn’t hurt much but the one who shot, did.

“Do you want me to take immediate action?” Thomas, voice more pleading, he is not just my assistant, but the only one I can consider my family, my brother, who has been there with the tides.

“No, let her be.”

“I think you should not trust her, what if-” Thomas worried voice, made me chuckle, “Don’t worry, Winston, I will handle it.”
