In the car, Elisa contemplates whether to go home or to Mia's place. She still hadn't told the driver where to drop her yet and she was sure the man was going to ask her soon.

" Miss, where do I drop you?" The driver asked as he stared at her disturbed face through the front mirror as Elisa stared at the two roads ahead, one of them leads to the Davis mansion and the other leads to Mia's simple two bedroom apartment " To the left" she said after recalling the Manager's proposal. She stared down at the script on her lap and instantly forgot all her worries. She couldn't wait to share the good news with her family.

She couldn't believe after all this time she was able to grab a lead role. Making it to this far was a dream come true. And she was sure her family would be happy to hear it.

After a few minutes, the car halted in front of the Davis mansion which was one of the beautiful buildings in the area.

Elisa stepped down from the car and immediately her gaze traveled to the modern gate of the Davis mansion, a little bit of fear slipped into her chest as she started biting on her lips nervously.

She had wanted to spend a few days in the resort so that she would be able to erase the memory of what happened but after what happened between her and the stranger she couldn't bring herself to stay any longer.

She just hope her family wouldn't hold it against her besides, she only expressed her disappointment to her sister and her cheating boyfriend.

" Thank you" she said to the cab driver after handing him his money. Maybe she could leave after a few months when she finally rent her own apartment.

She sighed and strode inside since she has no idea that the Davis family have been angry with her since the day of Betty's engagement. They believe Elisa did wrong when she confronted their precious daughter while the ceremony was ongoing. Elisa wasn't able to swallow the shock when she realized she and Betty have been sharing the same man.

She got angry with Betty because she knew Christian was her boyfriend. She had introduced them a year ago when she had just completed high school.

She has always listened to her talk about her Prince charming and her perfect relationship, not once did she think she would betray her this way.

She trusted Christ, she didn't for once think he would do this to her, leave her for her sister.....

Being the adoptive daughter Elisa had passed through a lot except that she was never abused physically. As she stepped inside the mansion, memories of that night floated her mind and at every step she took she could feel her heart beating faster.

Elisa was just an adopted daughter, a poor orphan who had nowhere to go except for the family that adopted her and maybe her best friend Mia whom she wasn't sure was in the country at the moment.

" Here she comes," her mother Amanda's voice wailed in the air and she froze at the door step for a few seconds." You have the nerves to return back to this house after what you did." She almost ruined the engagement party of her daughter who was the real Davis and still shows up in the mansion when the whole family has agreed to forsake her." Do you think you still have a place in this house after doing what you did?" Amanda has never liked her, her affection for Elisa has always been a pretense. The poor girl Jane mo idea how she hated her guts and even more after what she did at Betty's engagement party.

Betty was the real Davis and her only child. Taking sides with her even if she was wrong wasn't a big deal to her and of course she knew Christian was Elisa's boyfriend but she liked him for her daughter especially since he came from a wealthy background.

" Do you think this family will go down with you and your lies?" In the past, Amanda only showed her love because she felt lonely and thought her only daughter wouldn't make it through the operation. She was devastated when the doctor suggested surgery for her sick daughter and chanced it as fifty fifty.

She even wanted them to return Elisa back to the orphanage after Betty was released from the hospital but after reading the adoptive papers carefully,she realized she couldn't send her back without ruining the family's reputation. She was scared Elisa would open her mouth and tell everything to the orphanage keepers once she sent her back. " Ah, sorry mom. I ..." Elisa wanted to apologize just like she always did.

She was always the one who apologies even if she wasn't the one at fault. Living with the Davis family for fifteen years, Elisa knew what she was supposed to do to survive. She knew better than to fight them over a lost battle after all Betty wasn't the one who went after Christian but the other way round.

" What? You want to apologies and everything will be okay?" How about the disgrace she cursed at the party?

She bit on her lips and dropped her head. She was also ashamed of what she did because it was nothing like her. She didn't know what came over her that day, she just lost it when she saw Christian holding Betty's hand as his fiance." You have the nerves to show your face here" slap!

Peter Davis, who was a lot different from his wife Amanda, slapped Elisa hard across the face." My daughter cried and locked herself up because of you! Now you have the guts to step your feet in this house?"

" Who gave you the right to return back to this house after what you did, after ruining the family's image?"

"You are nothing but a loose woman" Peter said with anger showing in his eyes. Peter was the only person in the family that loved her genuinely, he did his duty as her father even though she wasn't his blood. Peter Davis was an ordinary man who married into a wealthy family and successfully established his own wealth through that.

Peter wasn't a difficult man but after seeing his only daughter in that state he swore to send Elisa out of the mansion once she returned. No parents would want to see their children in pain, especially when they have only one.

" You are not welcome I'm this house, Elisa" he told her and Elisa stared up at his disgusted face. He has believed all the lies Betty and her mother had told her and decided to take this action against her knowing fully well she has nowhere to go." Im very disappointed in you, Elisa. I tried to give you most of it in life but you put to be this"

" Father I didn't do anything" she pleaded with tears streaming down her small face, her green eyes staring back at him. Peter has already promised his daughter to send Elisa out of the house. No matter what, he surely couldn't go back to his words even though it hurt him to see her in that state.

Even though Elisa wasn't his blood, Peter loved and cared about her like his own. He never once did anything to neglect her even though he listened to his wife and made her drop her scholarship.

He only did that because Amanda threatened to leave him if he let her go to school before her daughter.

Peter was already putting things in place so he could send her abroad to study. He didn't want her to be a problem between him and his family neither did he want his family to be an issue for Elisa.

" Dad, I have nowhere to go," she pleaded and knelt on the ground.

Peter would have taken back his words if he hadn't promised his daughter. Seeing those tears in her eyes made him rethink his decision but it was too late. " Pack your things and leave" he said for the last time and left the living room.

The satisfaction in Amanda's face was obvious, as Betty. She couldn't believe her acting skills paid off. If she knew attempting to kill herself could send Elisa away then she would have done it a long time and gotten rid of her.

" Mom please talk to dad" she pleaded with tears in her eyes, her voice trembling in fear as she attempted to grab onto Amanda's dress but Amanda, who had gotten what she wanted, stepped away as if she was some sort of virus. After all, it was her wish to send her out of her mansion for good.

Whatever love she once felt for her was a result of her daughter's unhealthy state. If she knew her daughter would survive, then she wouldn't have suggested adoption in the first place. Amanda was only trying to protect her marriage back then knowing how her husband wanted children." You don't belong in this house, Elisa.Go back to the orphanage you came from." With that, Amanda followed her husband up the stairs.

Elisa didn't know where to go. She didn't have anyone nor did she have anything in her account after acting in more than one movie.

After leaving the Davis mansion, Elisa tried calling her best friend, Mia but it wasn't going through. She couldn't get hold of the only person who could help her.

She ended up in the park, watching kids play with their kids. The perk was a fantasy for many kids just like Elisa, she dreamed of going there with her parents in the past but none of it came true. Her prayer to get along with her mother never came through and now she was all alone again just like she was in the orphanage.

Darkness soon came but Elisa had no plan to leave the perk since she had nowhere to go.

Elisa didn't move a muscle when rain started pouring nor could she stop crying. At that moment a black Rolls Rayce entered the area and halted at the entrance of the perk.
