Meanwhile, in the dim, stale air of a high-end hotel suite, Marilyn lay crumpled on the plush carpet, her cheek pressed against its cold fibers. The faint scent of cologne and expensive whiskey lingered in the room, mingling with the metallic tang of her own bitten lip.

Her body felt like it had been taken apart piece by piece and put back together wrong—aching joints, bruised skin, a raw heaviness in her limbs. She had numbed herself with medication beforehand, knowing she wouldn’t survive the night otherwise. Being with a man like him was not something one could endure sober.

The man lounged on the bed, his toned frame propped casually against the headboard, eyes fixed on her with an expression that was more disdain than satisfaction. After a long silence, hi

For real. Too many subplots and nothing is yet solved. Author needs to have less plots and focus on a few and make them good. Seems like a never ending story at this point. Also starting to dislike the MC, which is a bad sign. Losing interest as well, disappointing

WTF truly don’t like where Marilyn’s story going for someone who’s supposedly smart. Too much pride to borrow money but not for pr*stitution? The man seems to be Alex’s douche friend, yuck. Serena also has been getting on my nerves lately. Agreed that too much things going on and it’s going downhill

If I will to be her, I will kick him and his mother out and not a single cent will be spent on them. Just settle the house, if can’t manage why worry about the future when the present is a struggle.

  • Billionaire’s Virgin Ex-Wife   * 2nd * Chapter 282 : He’s not cut out to run Vanderbilt Group anymore.

The news hit the business world like a thunderclap—Vortex Automotive Group was teaming up with Atlas Ventures. For years, the man behind Vortex had been an untouchable figure, the kind of boss who rarely appeared in public and whose moves were nearly impossible to predict. Whenever Vortex had worked with Atlas in the past, the partnerships burned bright but brief, never lasting more than six months. But now? This wasn’t just another collaboration. This was a gamble that could redefine both companies’ futures. If Alexander Vanderbilt pulled this off, the Vanderbilt Group’s profits would soar—possibly eclipsing anything Cornelius had ever achieved in his prime. But the stakes were brutal.Vortex was going all in. They’d set the bar: if Alexander could secure five percent of their shares, he’d win. If not, he’d lose big. And not just money—he was wagering the company itself. To most people, the deal sounded insane. Even reckless. Yet Alexander had agreed without hesitation. It was the ki

Serena tried to turn away, her body instinctively tensing, but Alexander shamelessly buried his face into the curve of her neck. His breath was warm, soft against her skin, sending an involuntary shiver down her spine.Dopamine was a traitor—blurring logic, intensifying sensation. And in that moment, every ounce of clarity Serena possessed crumbled. She exhaled shakily and turned over, trying to put some distance between them. But Alexander moved with her, slipping in beside her with casual ease. His arm curled around her waist like it belonged there, drawing her back against the heat of his body.Yet he didn’t take her—at least, not all the way.He lingered in that charged space between restraint and surrender. His hands roamed slowly, lips grazing her jaw, her collarbone, the sensitive spot behind her ear. He kissed her deeply, deliberately, and held her like she was something rare—something he couldn’t afford to break. Her body, already wound tight from his teasing, ached for more.

The paper bowl slipped from her fingers, hit the pavement, and rolled onto its side, the remnants of spaghetti spilling across the sidewalk. Serena froze, breath caught in her throat, too afraid to turn around. For a second, she questioned reality.A warm hand had just grazed hers—gentle, fleeting—before slipping away like a memory. It had only lasted a moment, but something about the touch stirred something deep inside her. Familiar. Impossible. Her instinct was to whirl around, to confirm what her heart dared to hope. But her body wouldn't move. It was as if her limbs had gone stiff, anchored by shock and the ghost of the past. She tried to speak, to call out, but her throat tightened, like someone had wrapped invisible fingers around it. Her mind was chaos—thoughts colliding, memories flashing, confusion reigning.Footsteps echoed, fading into the distance… and then returning. She didn’t turn.Something soft and warm was pressed into her palm—a freshly made corn tortilla. Still hot

The online scandal had pulled the Whitehall family straight into the chaos, and considering Beatrice’s long history of public blunders, it was almost bizarre that no one from the Whitehall side had reached out to her—no apology, no explanation. Just radio silence.Alexander, ever perceptive, noticed Serena’s mood had lightened a bit. He decided to press his advantage. “Make sure you come back early tonight,” he said casually, but the look he shot Jonathan was anything but.Jonathan picked up the cue immediately and added, “Mr. Vanderbilt, you’ve also got a company meeting to attend tonight. Justin’s been acting unusually aggressive lately. And with that ten percent of your shares gone… I’m worried he’s looking to align with the other board members to undermine you. Things could turn ugly fast.”Serena, who had been switching out of her heels, froze mid-motion. Her brows drew together. “Wait—what do you mean, ten percent of the shares are gone?” Her voice cut through the air, sharp and

The morning light had barely filtered through the curtains when a sharp knock rattled Serena's door. She groggily sat up, hair tousled, eyes still adjusting to the light. The bodyguard stepped inside with a report in hand. “Ms. Morales,” he said crisply, “the girl agreed to the terms. Reporters caught her on camera last night. Her interview is already going viral. Beatrice’s name is trending—everywhere.”Serena snapped fully awake. She kicked off the covers and swung her legs out of bed. Within moments, she had washed up, tied her damp hair into a loose ponytail, and opened her laptop. Her fingers flew across the keyboard as she simultaneously dialed Whitney.“Whitney,” she said, voice sharp with urgency, “retweet the girl’s interview. Add just one sentence: ‘Justice will not be absent.’ Now.”Whitney didn’t hesitate. The post went up within seconds. But the internet wasn’t about to let her off easy.Within minutes, vitriol flooded her mentions like a bursting dam.[What does this hav
