Chapter 5

Elena did her rounds of cooking for the day, and all through, she has been thinking about Alex. It's been a week since they last saw him, and it made her wonder if he has given up.

She pulled off her apron and hair net to give the next chef space to start her rounds.

A waitress came toward her. "Miss Millers."

Elena looked at her with raised eyebrows. "What's it?"

"We have a customer that seemed to be looking for you. He said he's only gonna eat your food."

Elena furrowed her brows in confusion and left the kitchen towards the room where customers are attended to.

Alex waved at her making her sigh.

"You know him? He's handsome." The waitress remarked.

Elena gave her a frown before looking back at Alex. She walked towards the table and sat down on the chair. "I thought I wasn't gonna be seeing you."
