I come into the room, kissing Olivia’s forehead, and frown—her skin is burning. “Grief fever,” Axel grunts. “The doctor prescribed her some ibuprofen.” I nod, going over to the single metal chair in the room and slumping into it. “And you? Talon helps her strip out of those bloody clothes as gently as possible.
