Evelyn's POV
Clara had millions of stories to tell about her escape plans, the ones she had failed, and the ones where she almost decided to live in Paris for the rest of her life if it weren't for her packhouse dragging her back.
Some of them really sounded exaggerated and I only went with the flow because the clock was ticking and we had a schedule to make me move out from here before anyone wakes up.
"Are you done?" I groaned for the umpteenth time.
My mother smacked my arm, yawning as she stretched her cramped body. "I would love to hear more but I believe you both had something more important to do."
