The Aftermath

Waking in a bright white room made me panic and reach for my stomach. I was breathing heavy panicking about the baby. When I realised everything was normal, or as normal as it could be. I looked around the hospital room slowly only stopping when my eyes fell on Deacon sleeping in a chair in the corner of the room.

"How long have I been here?" I said startling him awake.

"Scarlett? You're awake."  He said yawning.

"How long?" I said more aggressive.

" You've been sleeping since yesterday morning. It's now." He said looking down at the golden watch on his wrist. "8pm."

I looked at him through squinted eyes remembering what happened the morning before.

"I want answers!" I said.

He nodded sitting up and rubbing his hands together.

"Listen this isn't." He started but I cut him off.

"No! I want real answers. Why did your mother say those things to me? Why did you kidnap me and bring me here? Is it about terriorty? A ranso
