Third Person’s POV

The private room on the second floor of the teahouse is at the end of the hall, and Elish’s words submerged the room into a deep silence that allowed the two of them to have the illusion of hearing each other’s heartbeats. Crown Prince Rogeus felt his mouth open slightly at the shock that he felt from hearing his mate’s identity. As the crown prince of the Artemia Kingdom, his royal father would not accept the fact that his fated mate is a rogue, and such a thought made him afraid.

The fear of being separated from the girl across from him felt so suffocating that it allowed Rogeus to see just how strong the connection of the soul could affect his entire being. His hands tightened into fists at the sides before loosening and reaching out to hold the soft hands of his mate. The fear disappeared instantly as an unknown determination to defy his royal father took root in his heart for the first time in his twenty years of growing up.
