LOGINFrom there on in thing's just got worse. Cylus started bringing her to our family meals. Janet then started to sow d*****d between me and the pack staff. Then today I was so happy to tell him the exciting news, but as usual he couldn't be bothered with anything I had to say. Everytime I had tried to speak to Cylus she playing suddenly being sick or she would pretend to faint.
Today was no different. As soon as Cylus approached me after I ran on and called to him, she miraculously becane dizzy. Jake was also there he could of taken her outside. But no as usual she would hook her arms around Cylus, slow deliberate tears would fall. When he scooped her up into his arms, I tried to walk after him but her favourite saying came out. I'm scared. seriously. Janet has always been manipulative, she started framing me with little things. Now she faked she was dizzy and needed fresh air. She told Cylus she was scared by the way I was looking at her. As I watched the three of them down below I decided enough was enough. I walked to the small table beside my bed and picked up my mobile phone. I dialed a number and waited for it to connect. "Hello, Aunty." there was silence on the other end. "I'm coming over, I need to talk to you." I cut the call. I grabbed my cardigan that was laying on the foot of my bed and strode outside. I stood outside of the main pack house doors and breathed deep. It was then that I heard a female giggle. I turned my head and that's when I saw them. Cylus and Jake arms wrapped around her. Obviously saying Something to make her laugh. If I said it didn't hurt, I would be lieing. It did hurt tremendously. But as normal I swallowed it down. I ignored the three of them that was standing not far from the drive way of the pack house and walked down the road to my aunties and uncle's house. Some elderly people was greeting me as I passed by. I nodded my head and carried on walking. Once I arrived my aunty welcomed me inside and went to make me a cup of tea. Once she placed it down on the coffee table she sat opposite me and stared at me. I took a sip and placed the cup back down. I looked at her and instantly my tears started to gather in my eyes. "I need to leave." I looked at her. "Why Jayla? what's happened?" I took a deep breath, my hands started to tremble slightly, but she caught it right away. She stood up and moved quickly and sat beside me on the sofa. Aunty took hole of my hands and squeezed them tightly. "Aunty, I can't stay here no longer." My hand rested on my stomach. Her eyes quickly landed there then looked up to me. Her mouth opened but no words came out. "Y..you mean." I nodded. I looked down at my stomach, then looked up at her. "I need to leave. I'm scared Janet will do something that will hurt my baby." A tear slid down my cheek. "Does Cylus know?" I shook my head. "No, I was going to tell him today but Janet came first as usual." Aunty stood up and started pacing the living room. She was muttering to herself, I couldn't quite hear what she was saying. Just then Uncle Mathew came running through the door. "Where is she?" as he came runing into the lounge. He saw me sitting there and came straight to me. "Jayla honey are you ok?" "Y..yes am alright uncle." Aunty came and sat beside me again and looked up to uncle Mathew. "Matt, how about we send her." Uncle Mathew stared at her. He turned to me. "Jayla, I can send you to your grandfather's if you want?" "M..my grandfather? But I don't have a grandfather." "You do Jayla. Your grandfather wanted you yo live with him after your parents death, but we all decided that you needed to be around a pack. Grow up with kids your own age. I just need to make a quick phone call." Uncle Mathew stood up and took his mobile out from his pocket. Aunty stayed beside me holding my hand. Her gaze never left my uncle. All the time uncle was on the call aunty stayed close to me. Suddenly a bang came on their front door. My uncle ended the call and went to answer the door. When he opened it he came faxe to face with Cylus. He strode in commanding the room. He looked around without greeting anyone. He saw me and stared. "Come back now." He didnt Alpha command but it wasn't far off. "Why?" I stared at him. Aunty's grip tightened. Then another person entered it was Jake then behind him was Janet. The atmosphere plummeted a few degrees. I tensed up when I saw her. She was hiding behind Jake clasping the back of his shirt. Looking so meek and pathetic. I huffed and Cylus head snapped to me. I felt the pressure but fought it. Aunty never took her eyes off of her, I think by the look on her face e aunty wanted to tear her apart. "Jayla, I rather discuss this at home. Come home now." "No. I'm here with aunty, you can say what you want here. There family after all " Cylus breathed in deep. "I need you to move to the cottage at the end of the forest." I jumped up and took a step towards him. He's trying to get rid of me for that bitch. When I stepped closer Janet closed in tightly to Jake. She gasped. I saw her in the corner of my eye. I didn't fail to notice her fingers digging into Jakes arm. what a performance.I laid upon the table and lifted my shirt. The doctor squeezed cold gel onto my stomach and placed the wand. the picture on tve monitor screen lit up and suddenly a heart beat sounded. Steady and sounded strong. The picture cleared slightly and a form appeared on the screen. A small blob right in the middle. I could see the heart beating. A tear escaped my eye and I smiled. My pup. "Jayla, our pup." Azelea whispered. Her tail wagging. Azelea was calm. Her head rested on her front paws. Her tail swishing from side to side. "Our pup." she whispered in contentment. " Well it all looks good Jayla. Any questions?" "Uh, no I don't think so Doctor." "Right then let's check your blood pressure next and draw some blood, then I will sort your pre vitamins out for you." "OK thank you." "Here can you wipe that yourself?" as she handed me some tissue. I took the tissue and wiped the gel from my stomach. I sat up and slid off the bed and sorted myself out. I walked over to her desk and sa
I woke to the smell of bacon wafting past my nose. My nose twitched as my mouth watered. I scrambled out of bed just as my stomach started moaning. I quickly washed and put clean clothes on. I rushed downstairs and saw grandad sitting at the dining table. A plate of bacon and eggs, tomatoes and sausages were next to a mug of coffee. I quickly sat down and automatically my stomach grumbled again. A laugh came from grandpa as I picked up my knife and fork. He reached over and placed a piece of toast onto my plate. We ate in silence till we both finished eating. I was full. "What are you planning to do thus morning kiddo?" "I was thinking of taking a walk around the place, you know explore a little." "OK, but don't wander into the forest out back ok." I nodded and started drinking my coffee. Grandpa got up and put his finished mug in the sink, he walked to the door pulled his boots on and left. I stood up and walked outside. Just outside of the main door was a small table and
The car drove forward up a windy road. I looked ahead and saw what looked like a farmhouse. So this is my granddads home. I could imagine my mom growing up he, playing outside on the lush green garden. The car pulled up outside the steps of the farmhouse. I looked out of the window and saw an elderly man propped up against the door frame with his arms crossed. Femi opened the door for me and I got out of the car. I stood there and stared at the man. No words just silence. I saw him clench his fists tightly and took one step then stopped. Was he nervous? or was he angry? I wanted to look away but I couldn't, the aura that came from him was powerful. He took another step, then another until he stood infronf of me. My neck craned to look at him. He was tall, very very tall. He must of stood at least 6ft 8 and against my frame of 5ft 2 he was a giant. Cold sweat started forming on my forehead. Suddenly his arms lunged at me, my eyes closed tightly as I braced myself. Then I wad pulle
As the car sped down the road, my heart was still thumping. A pressure came then went in my head. I was starting to get anxious. Aunty turned to look at me. "Now Jayla, don't call when you get there. Mathew and I have already discussed what to say to the Alpha if he askes us and he will. Once you sever all ties he will send warriors out to find you. Do not worry about us." She reached her hand out to me and i took it. She squeezed my hand. "Make sure you live well honey, and if I can come see you I will." I felt my eyes sting a little, but I knew I couldn't go soft now. I am so close to leaving all this behind. But I will never forget the warmly home that surrounded me growing up with them. I loved them both so much, they were the best step parents anyone could ask for. I sat back and watched everything go by. I suddenly felt the car slow up. I looked to the front and saw a black car parked on the side of the road. As we approached it I noticed that the car windows were b
After about an hour the pressure resided, but it left my head throbbing. By eight oclock that evening a car had pulled up outside of the cottage, the head lights beaming on full that shone through the lounge window. I watched from the window as Jake got out of the car and walked up to the door. He knocked, I didn't answer. He knocked again, I still didn't answer. Then the front door opened and he walked right in. He looked around until his eyes found me. "Why are you not ready?""I told you I'm not going.""But Alpha said you had to come."I stood there glaring at him. "Leave Jake, I'm not going. I have no reason to go so I'm staying here. Besides i'm tired."Jake didn't know what to do. I noticed his eyes glaze over obviously mind linking Cylus. He looked at me. "Then rest well." that was all he said. He walked out leaving the door open, got in the car and left. I watched the car drive off before I closed the door. The car lights growing smaller the further it went. I closed th
I walked to to the door and reached my hand to open the door. Inside it was clean. Someone had put a small bunch of flowers on the table. I walked around the place to see where everything was. It was small but cute. For a cottage so far out it was really maintained. It was clean and tidy. There were fresh bed linen on the bed. It was light and airy. I was slightly surprised for a cottage so far away and on the edge of the border the sun light streamed through the windows. I walked to the kitchen and looked through the cupboards. I opened the fridge and was surprised it was stocked. I put the kettle on to make a camamile tea. My body was exhausted, with everything over the past few months everything seemed lighter now. Then my thoughts went to the man named grandad. I don't even remember him. I can't even recall my parents ever taking me to see him. Where exactly did he live? My shoulders lifted and I held my head up. At least I would be away from theses idiots. After my tea was made
