Prologue

Luke

Today is the happiest day of my life. The day I said yes. Yes to himand yes to happiness. I was in a white clothes, preoaring myself for my weadding day. Yes, is my weadding day.  I can not believing that today I would marry the love of my life. I was twenty-one years old, but I was sure it was him, that I would live forever by his side. I was radiant with happiness, however, nervous. I was dressed with white clothes with a low neckline, my dark hair where short.  Details, I never and ever had beard.

“It looks like prince, my friend... “Thomas said smiling. She was my best friend.

I took another deep breath, as I was very nervous and anxious, but happy.

"are you ready?”

"Yes! “I nodded my head, ready to walk down the aisle.

At that moment I heard my cell phone vibrating in Thomas's small bag. he took out his cell phone and handed it to me.

“Is Derek...”

I picked up my cell phone and got emotional, opening the message. I was so happy because it wasn't long before he and I would be together.

“We can’t do that, sorry. Forgive me."

I read this sentence countless times, not believing it was real, I tried calling him, but he didn't answer, leaving me in a vacuum. He was abandoning me, leaving me. At the last minute he gave up, humiliating me and leaving me with indescribable pain.

I couldn't believe it, it could only be a lie. I was being left on my own wedding day, I couldn't believe it. Without strength, I dropped the cell phone, lost my reaction and fell to my knees.

“Luke, what happened? “Thomas approached me worriedly.

I couldn't respond, hoping it was a joke, even if it was in bad taste. I hoped it was just a nightmare or a bad joke.

“Luke!, talk to me!” Thomas held my arms, not understanding what was happening. " What happened?

Tears fell from my face and I was speechless to say that none of this mattered anymore. That I was being left. I never thought this would be possible, but it was. He just gave up on both of us and left. I was abandoned on my wedding day.
