Joe's eye widened with shock. He couldn't just resonate everything at once. His head spanned through everything he had seen earlier.

He spanked his head hoping he would snap out of it all, but he couldn't. 'Why am I a seer? Why!' he muttered severally.

'Joe… calm down,' he retorted and sighed heavily, calming his nerves. As soon as his nerves were calmed, Joe remembered what he saw just now.

'I musn't stand by and let this happen,' Joe retorted out of the love he still had for Emily even after what she did to him that day.

After he had said that, it was as if Joe just got his senses back, 'what has come over me? Why would I be this concerned about her. Let her die if she has to, anyways she is not worth my pity,' he retorted.

Joe couldn't forget what she did to him that day, he felt embarrassed and humiliated.

Joe made up his mind not to interfere. He laid on his bed to sleep, but sleep wouldn't come.

All that was on his mind is Emily,  he couldn't stand not helping her out, anyways she was once her girlfriend.

Joe battled with the streams of thought battling his mind. After pulling a long battle with himself, 'ok! I will help her out….. Just this once,' he retorted and sighed heavily hoping he won't worsen her case.

Joe sighed heavily and pulled a long face for quite some time, he slept off before he could know it.

The night didn't take so long, the morning comes calling again. Joe got up hurriedly, 'this is a matter of life and death,' he retorted and rushed into the bathroom to have a nice shower.

After that, he dashed out completely cool. Joe didn't waste his time, he put on his best cloth and dashed out of his house early in the morning.

Joe knew that is the only time he could meet Emily at home.

Without further ado, he board a taxi and before he could know it, he is at Emily's residence.

'Wow!' Joe retorted, 'this building is just as beautiful as it was when I met Emily,' he retorted with a smile on his face.

The mansion is a tall building beautified with the latest paintings. No body would see such a beauty and  won't admire it.

After Joe had gazed at the mansion for a while, he reached for the gate, but the gateman won't let him in.

"You ain't allowed here. Go back to where you came from," the gateman fired.

Joe felt hurt by his words, "watch your mouth boy!" he lashed at him.

"What will you do if I don't watch my words?" The gateman dared him.

Joe couldn't control his temper, he landed his palm on the face of the gateman harshly.

The gateman didn't take it easy on him at all, the two begin to fight in an instant.

Fortunately for Joe, Emily walked out of the mansion majestically due to the noise she heard outside.

'Joe!' Emily retorted with surprise when she sighted him. She laid her palm on her face after staring at the two for some time. She is just tired of Joe's drama.

She approached them angrily, "stop!" She fired harshly.

The gateman parted with him on hearing Emily's voice.

"Why can't you just leave me alone Joe. I said I am done with you," she puked at him in anger.

Joe looked so haggard because of the fuse he had with the gateman, "I am not here to rekindle our love. I am here for something more important," he looked straight into Emily's eye while he said all those words.

"Ok, spit it out if it's that important," she said, giving him an open space to speak.

"I know this may sound funny to you Emily, for the past few days I have been seeing things and it would happen as I see them,"

"Ok," she said as she gets more interested in the conversation.

"Now there is this vision I saw yesterday that baffles me and the vision points at you. I saw that you died on your birthday. I know this may sound stupid but it is true," he rushed those words out of tension.

Emily didn't really get what he said, "recap slowly please. I didn't get you at first," she implored.

"I saw you die on your birthday," he said again. This time more vivid and clear.

Emily couldn't hold the laughter within her. She laughed heavily at him, "so is that why you want to tear down my gateman?" She fired.

"This is real Emily. Believe me," he said trying to convince her.

"I don't believe in those shits and you know what? Since you trust your vision that much, my birthday is tomorrow and the party  will be held here at my residence. Why don't you come tomorrow and see what becomes of your vision," she dared him.

Joe stared at her for a while and nodded his head, "I would be there," he said confidently.

Emily laughed out aloud, "get me my birthday invitation ticket for guests," she said facing her gateman.

After a while, "This is it  ma," he said, stretching the ticket to her.

"Ok good," she said and turned to Joe, "prove your vision tomorrow," she challenged him and leaned the letter on his chest.

Joe held the letter firmly and walked out of her presence angrily, 'this vision must come to pass,' he retorted and hoped for the vision to come to pass so that he can prove a point.

After that day, Emily's birthday celebration is here. Joe comes in so early to witness the sadning event that would happen that day. His mind is all prepared for the worse.

Joe is eager to prove a point to her.

The party started outrightly and everyone was enjoying their wine.

"Joe, did your vision tell you the spefic time it would happen?" Emily asked out of the blue after she had walked up to Joe.

"Yes, it will happen in the eight hour of today," he said.

"Oh…. That's nice," she checked the watch on her wrist, "by my timing here, you mean I am going to die exactly 8pm tonight?" She asked in other to be clear.

"Yes," Joe confirmed what she had said.

"Ok, lets see," she said with a smirk on her face and walked away.

Now, Joe is tense as he monitored the timing on his phone. He couldn't get a grip on himself, if it's possible he wants the vision to happen right away.

After some hours of the event, Emily walked up to the stage to address her guest.

Joe checked his time, 'in eight minutes time she will fall to the ground,' he said. This time he is all tensed.

Emily spoke for some minutes and suddenly directs her words to Joe, "Joe… check your time. Am I still alive?" She said with the public address system.

Joe almost drown in the pool of her words. He knew every other thing he saw in the vision happened, 'but why didn't Emily die?' 'who is she by the way?' different questions pulped in his mind.

Joe couldn't understand himself anymore. He lost his confidence in an instant and had to walk out of the party in shame.

'What would Joe do?"

"Would he be able to face Emily ever again?"
