Chapter 10: Against her will

As I stood in the dimly lit dungeon, it felt like an eternity had passed since Sebastian was taken away. The heavy silence weighed on my chest and all I could hear was my own footsteps as I paced around nervously. Anxiety gripped me with each passing moment and thoughts raced through my head.

I couldn't help but wonder what kind of cruel punishment he must be enduring at this very minute. Was he hurt? Scared? All alone, wondering if anyone would come to his rescue?

A wave of guilt washed over me as well, knowing that our connection had led him straight into danger's path. It was not the first time either; trouble seemed to follow me wherever I am and it would greatly affect people that I got involved with.

The warrior who had been pursuing us served as proof of that fact - now captured by those same pursuers whose wrath we'd feared so much.

All these thoughts swirled within me leaving only one question left unanswered- how long can any man last here before breaking entirely?
