Sensing her rage rising, I knew it wouldn’t be good for the baby, so I decided to conceal my own raging anger at what she told me.

I held her hand quickly.

“Hey, look at me,” I said, turning her chin to face me. “How many times do I have to say you’re the only woman in my heart. It is ordained by the moon goddess, baby.
