Chapter 8: I Don't Trust Myself Around You

"You should get some rest," Giselle tells me, and I instantly relax. Her whole attitude has changed now that Thomas is gone from the room. "We'll get you something to eat and leave it here if you're asleep. I don't care what Alpha Max said. You aren't going anywhere until Tommy is fit to be released."

With a nod, she leaves the room. I almost call out to her before the door closes, but I stop myself. She seems to be the top authority here in the hospital, but I doubt she'll listen to me if I tell her I'm here against my will.

Now, though, I don't think I would leave even if they'd let me. Not when I've found Thomas, even if he belongs to Maximilian Thorn's pack.

I want him to leave with me. I just have to figure out how the hell he ended up with these men and try to convince him to come with me.

When I succumb to the sedatives and exhaustion, I dream of the past, but it's more like reliving a memory of me and Thomas when we were younger.
