I finally sat down after helping shuttle more specials to the tunnels. It was starting to get really crowded here and more specials were arriving by the day. I don’t think Astrid really thought about the amount of specials that would be coming to us. The tunnels were cramped, humid, and dim. They were definitely meant to be more of a temporary thing than a permanent one. I wasn’t sure what Astrid’s plan was, but I hoped that she would get it together soon.
“Jason, you have a minute?” Liz was standing over me with a clipboard. Probably another problem for me to try to solve.
“Yeah, for you I always have a minute. What can I do for you?” I smiled. Liz had become part of our inner circle in just a day.

JasonWe arrived back at the tunnels to everyone crowding around something. I couldn't tell what it was. I pushed my way past to get to the center and there she was. Her dark raven hair was pulled up into a high ponytail. She was wearing black combat boots with a pair of black satin pants and a black loose tank top. She had brought Lucas who was also sporting combat boots, although his were brown. He had tan loose pants and a white wifebeater. They had finally arrived. "I am truly sorry for the conditions in which you have been living these past couple of days. I should have done better and prepared better for you all. I will correct that today." Jason "How many powers do you really have?" I asked right off the bat. She smiled, as she started to pick at some grass. "I honestly have lost count. It changes every year or so. Sometimes it's something so small I don't notice it. I'd say a good hundred or so" she explained. A 'good hundred' ran around in my mind for a while. Lucas I rushed into the tunnels, hoping maybe she was in there. I didn't figure she went back to Mexico without me. I needed to find her. I wanted, no I needed, to comfort her, to make her forget it all. I wanted to wrap her in my arms and never let go. I knew how much that memory hurts her, it's been a millenia and it still affects her so badly. These tunnels felt like a maze, and with every turn I made I felt like I would never find her. AstridI awoke feeling as if a heavy weight had finally been relieved from my chest. I felt light and refreshed. I was still in Lucas arms, his light snores feeling the room. Micheal I was near Ben's apartment complex. She had warped me in behind a dumpster in an alleyway. I was surprised she didn't warp me into the dumpster. I shook myself off and started walking towards his apartment. I got a few side looks as I exited the alleyway. I realized my face had appeared on the broadcast and I needed to hide my face some. I pulled my shades from my pocket and put them on, letting my hair fall towards my face. I got to his complex and buzzed his apartment. Thankfully he was home and buzzed me in quickly.
