❤️ The Council's Verdict ❤️
"Uncle, you send for me." Nyxoria was seen walking toward him. She was in her chamber when a messenger came to pass her the message of her presence being needed in the palace. Vyr sat upon a throne of pure gold, the sunlight streaming through the open window catching the jewels of his crown and bathing him in a commanding glow. Draped in crimson and sable robes, he radiated quiet authority, a living emblem of power and majesty. Around him, the council of elders, about four, gathered at a massive oaken table, their robes marked by symbols of their clans and wisdom etched into their faces. They all turn to look at her with a big frown and angry looks on their faces, especially the one with a missing arm. Nyxoria didn't care, her focus was on her uncle who beamed at her when she finally stopped beside him. "Yes, indeed I did," Vyr said. "What do you say to this?" he asked, pointing at what he and the elders were discussing. A scroll was on the table and in front of Vyr. Nyxoria looked at the scroll briefly and returned her gaze back to her uncle. "I say we kill almost all of them and take the others." She told him. One of the council of elders scoffed at what she said. Nyxoria's eyes narrowed at him. "Uncle, will you miss him if he is gone? I think his seat is hurting his dirty ass." Quickly holding one of Nyxoria's hands and Vyr vigorously shook his head at her. He had once made a mistake when she had uttered those words ten years ago when Elder Rue of the Water clan wolf had spoken of killing her, the following day after her parents tragic death. He had grabbed her hair and was shouting at Vyr and then Nyxoria uttered those words 'Uncle, will you miss him if he is gone? Let me start with this arm' and he and the elders had ignored her thinking it was just mere words until Elder Rue suddenly screamed out in pain. That was then they discovered she had cut off the hands holding her hair from the shoulder. That day and even ten years later Vyr hasn't forgotten. Somehow, Nyxoria always has her sword hidden somewhere in her body and doesn't hesitate to use it. "Don't Nyxoria," Vyr said and faced the elder that spoke, "do you have anything else to say than scoffed Elder Rivar?" He asked. Elder Rivar was a 550 hundred and fifty years old werewolf who governed the Fire wolf clan. "Yes I do, we send them a letter warning them to stop the killings and if they fail to heed to our warnings, we attack." "You are buying them time you know," Nyxoria said before her uncle would speak. "the Bloodfogers would have already had a plan if you sent them the warnings. Like I said killing them and capturing the ones that survived and then torture them and make them reveal who had told them to use the forbidden dark magic of theirs to capture our pups and use them for sacrifice, is the best idea. If you are sending them a letter, it only means one thing, Rivar, you are working with them." When their newborns began to go missing in Alabaster Ward; where the new mothers stays until they healed and are ready to go back to their homes, every full moon five pups go missing even though security was tight, this kept going on and it wasn't until when they came to take another pups for the sixth time that one of the mothers that her new born baby was taken noticed how they look and dressed and when she described them to Vyr and the elders after she told them she saw one of them, they immediately know it was the Bloodforgers. Bloodforgers have the ability to control blood and use them for blood magic and for them to be taking their newborns would mean, they are planning something and only the gods know exactly what they are using their pups for. Rivar glared at her but didn't say a word and none of the Elders said anything. Nyxoria smirked. "Now that I have all your attention, Rivar," she likes calling his name to provoke him. "Since your clan is the strongest I suggest you take some of your wolf warriors and lead them to the cave the Bloodforgers are staying, kill some to show your strength and capture the others for me to torture, they will confess faster to me than to you." "Any objections to what my niece has said?" Vyr asked. The four elders shook their heads at once. "If there are no objections then Elder Rivar you do as Nyxoria had suggested, I mean that's what I would have said too." Vyr said and Elder Rivar glared at both of them, then stood up and bowed to Vyr before leaving. One after the other they left until Vyr and Nyxoria were left alone. "You know they are your seniors, Nyxoria, you accord them with respect." "Then he should act his age uncle and be full of wisdom, how did that brain of his come up with such thoughts?" Vyr sighed, ever since that night ten years ago, Nyxoria had changed and by each day, she was getting worse. Ten years ago, the night that changed everything. Vyr had given the servants instructions to clean up Nyxoria's room and arranged the dead bodies of his late twin brother and his wife. Nyxoria hadn’t woken up until the next morning, the news of what happened to High King Laka and his wife had spread and the elders of council had summoned Vyr and his niece to the throne room. "You killed your parents?" Elder Rivar accused. "I can't remember," Nyxoria mumbled out. "Such an act of yours is death by hanging." Elder Rue stated. "But she has the mark of Obsidian Sigil of Liora." Vyr spoke almost immediately. "So death shouldn't be her punishment and neither should she be punished at all."Chapter 3️⃣0️⃣❤️ A Favor For A Kiss (2) ❤️Liora swallowed hard and took a step back, but Erezhul followed her slowly, step by step, until her back gently hit the wall. He didn’t touch her, but he stopped right there, just a breath away from her.“A...a kiss?” she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper. “You want me to kiss you?”She tried to keep her face steady, to not let him see how much his closeness was affecting her. It was strange. She, the same Liora that people feared across all the kingdom, the same one the clan leaders avoided eye contact with, was now standing still, frozen under Erezhul’s gaze. Her heart was beating too fast, too loud. And the question that played over and over in her head was simple. Why wasn’t she pushing him away? Why wasn’t she even trying?Even now he was too close, so close that she could feel the warmth of his breath on her skin. And yet, she didn’t push him away.“Yes, my Sunray,” Erezhul said in a quiet voice, as if he was just speaking hi
Chapter 2️⃣9️⃣❤️ A Favor For A Kiss ❤️"What did you just say?""Don't act like you didn’t hear me, Lynn. I’m going to ask you one more time. Are you in or out?"Lynn rolled her eyes slowly and pulled her hands away from his. Myrrak didn’t say a word, just kept looking at her face like he was searching for something in her expression."You know I’m always ready to help you," she said, her voice calm but a little curious. "No matter what it is, you already know I’ve always been on your side. But the real question here is, how do you plan to do this?""Easy," Myrrak said with a small smirk, "by using your sister.""What did you just say?" This time her voice came out louder and sharper. "You want to use Liora? Use her for what exactly?""I saw the way he was looking at her," Myrrak replied, his eyes serious now. "He is in love with her."Lynn let out a short laugh, almost like a scoff. "And how exactly do you know that?""I’m a man, my love," he said, his tone low and sure. "And when a
Chapter 2️⃣8️⃣❤️ Broken Pride ❤️With a loud growl, Myrrak flew straight at him, his wings cutting through the air like blades. In the blink of an eye, he disappeared and appeared right above Erezhul, his leg already swinging downward in a heavy strike meant to crush. But Erezhul didn’t even flinch. He tilted slightly on his seat, almost lazily, and then threw a sharp punch that caught Myrrak mid-air before he could even land. The hit sent Myrrak crashing into the floor with brutal force. This time, it was worse than before. He rolled over with a painful grunt, the floor beneath him trembling from the impact.“You're fast,” Erezhul said calmly as he got up and brushed off some invisible dust from his shoulder. “But fast is not the same as smart. That’s what’s wrong with fairies like you. You think just because you have wings and a few flashy tricks, you’re like an angel, special. Well, you’re not. You’re just loud and small and so so pathetic.”Myrrak screamed, his voice filled with
Chapter 2️⃣7️⃣❤️ Erezhul And Myrrak (3) ❤️“Who the hell are you?” Myrrak asked, his voice low and rough, his eyes narrowing with suspicion. He glanced briefly at Liora, as if silently asking if this was just another one of her friend's strange creations. The man didn’t move right away. His head turned slowly, and though his face was hidden behind that dark mask, it was clear his attention was all on her.“Erezhul,” he said at last, calm and quiet, like the name didn’t need any further introduction or explanation. His voice was smooth, almost too calm for the tension in the room.“I heard you talking about me,” he continued, his gaze still fixed on Liora. “I’ve been sitting right here the whole time. But since nobody thought I was worth looking at, I figured I’d speak out."“Why are you wearing a mask?” Lynn asked, her eyes narrowing a little.Liora felt a small wave of relief wash over her. Thank the stars she hadn’t been the one to ask that question, or Myrrak might have started re
Chapter 2️⃣6️⃣❤️ Erezhul And Myrrak (2) ❤️"I knew I would find you here," Lynn said as she walked over to Liora and gently kissed her forehead.Liora was already sitting up on the bed now, her feet resting on the cold floor.Lynn turned to face Myrrak, her expression calm. "How are you, Myrrak? I didn’t even know you were in the palace today, let alone here in Liora’s room."Myrrak gave a small shrug, his eyes never leaving Liora. "I’ve been waiting for my sweetheart to wake up, so where else do you think I would be?" he said, his voice soft but sure.Lynn nodded slowly, then smiled a little. "Anyway, dinner is ready. I came here to check if Liora was in her room since I didn’t see her anywhere around the palace.""I’ve been sleeping," Liora replied, her voice low as she turned to glance out the window. She hadn’t realized the sky had already dimmed, it was clearly evening now but with the way the clouds are, it is showing signs of rain. She must have been more tired than she though
Chapter 2️⃣5️⃣❤️ Erezhul And Myrrak (1) ❤️"You’re insane if you really think that would work," Myrrak said, his voice low and sharp."It will work," Lynn replied calmly, as if she had already played it out in her mind. "We just have to convince him to see the bright side. To believe in what we’re trying to build. The future we’re planning."Myrrak shook his head slowly, his long white hair brushing across his shoulders as he moved. "No, Lynn. That won’t work.""Why not? I just have to convince him that my twin is the wicked one like I did with others, it is that simple, Myrrak.""It won't work because I don’t know him," Myrrak said, frowning. "I haven’t met him yet. You barely know him too. You just said he’s close to your twin. That’s already a problem. What makes you think he won’t go running to Liora and tell her everything? One wrong word from you, one slip of the tongue, and everything you’ve been carefully pretending to be will be exposed."Lynn didn’t say anything, but her ey
