"Forget about that mark she bears and kill the one who murdered her parents in cold blood, the one standing in front of us." Elder Rue pointed at her. "Let's kill her like she did to the king and queen," he added. "As long as the mark is on her body, we can't harm the one the moon has chosen to guide us except she uses her own hands to kill herself, willingly." the third elder that hardly spoke at any of their meetings spoke. He was Elder Kila, the leader of the air Wolf clan. "Nonsense," Elder Rue said walking up towards Nyxoria and then proceeded to hold her hair, which tilted her head upwards and made her hissed out in pain. "She knows what she did. We just have to punish her gravely to make her admit what she did and then after her confession, we cut off her head. She sinned against the moon goddess and against the earth that she walks on." He spits out in anger. "Don't say things you don't know Rue, she said she doesn't remember and somehow I believe her, our top priority should be finding out if she is saying the truth and if she is, that means there is a killer amongst us and in our kingdom." Elder Kila spoke again, softly. "Until proven guilty, she will be the one to rule us after the burial of my brother and his wife." Vyr supported what Elder Kila had said. "Nonsense," Elder Rue said again, those words irritating Nyxoria, "she is just eight years old and she cannot rule us, I refuse to let a little child, a murderer, rule over me." "She has the mark of the Obsidian Sigil of Liora, and whoever puts the crown on his or her head forcefully will die immediately, you of all people should know that Elder Rue, except she uses her hands to place the crown on whoever she wants then that person is free from death, you know that's the curse from Liora and the only one the crown won't affect is the emperor except you want him to rule all of us." The fourth Elder of the Storm clan, Julian, said. He was the oldest and the rest of the clans respect him and his words. "Nonsense," Elder Rue spoke and this time around his hold on Nyxoria hair was so tight that he was pulling off some of her hair. "Don't pity her pretty little face, if not, you won't see the devil in her." "Uncle, will you miss him if he is gone? His voice is getting boring." Nyxoria's little voice cut through the air. She smiled as if the pain Rue was causing her was nothing. But none of them paid her any attention. "Elder Rue I don't know what problem you have with my niece but I can assure you that she is not a murderer and until we have evidence that she committed the crime, she is innocent." Vyr said. "Nonsen-" He didn't get to complete the word because a scream erupted from his mouth and he moved back as the hand he used in grabbing Nyxoria's hair was still holding onto it. His scream stopped whatever discussion that was going on. Nyxoria has cut off his left hand he'd uses to grip her hair off with the sword with her, how she had pulled it off since her back was facing him no one knows, Vyr rushed to her to get the sword, that his twin brother and his wife dried blood was still lingering on it and now coated with the blood of Rue, away from her but to his surprise once again, he couldn't. Her grip on the sword was as strong as glue. Vyr sighed as the memories flooded to him. After his brother and his wife was buried, everyone attended the burial, the witches, vampires etc everyone supernaturals came except for the young Emperor. Nyxoria had surprised everyone after the council of elders called for a second meeting and told them she had chose Vyr to sit on the throne and rule over the kingdoms. He could remember her exact words that day. "Until I remember what happened that night I won't sit on this throne even though I come of age to rule Uncle, I still won't sit," she had said. "Until I remember why and how I killed them, you will be the High King." She added and lifted up the crown and gestured for her uncle to knee down before her which Vyr did and she crowned him the High King herself. "All I am saying is that you know they already hate you so don't make them hate you more." Vyr told her. "I am not going to change myself because of some stupid people, you don't like me, I don't like you back, life is simple." Nyxoria said. "Why didn't you attend the academy today? You haven't attended since last week." Vyr asked softly, changing the topic. "I was not in the mood of going to the academy Uncle but since you said, I am now in the mood to go." "By now? The sun is up." "The moon hasn't come out, right? So there is still more time." Nyxoria shrugged. "See you in a few hours Uncle." "Take care, my child and please don't cause any trouble." "And you too." Nyxoria shouted as she walked out of the throne room and signal for a guard standing guard to ready her horse, penelope. ★★★ Academy of the Arcane: At the large Assembly Grounds of the Academy all students stood and were staring at the direction the principal of the Arcane stood there. The werewolves stood in their line, the witches, vampires, faires and so on did the same thing. The principal was a half vampire and a fairy. He was handsome, his pale skin was a sight to behold, he was tall and muscular, he had lost one of his eyes two years ago and doesn't like to talk about it. "I know you all may be wondering why I had summoned you all out here, I know all of you are eager to go back to your class but I have a very important announcement to make." He began grabbing the attention of everyone. "Our emperor will be joining us today, he ought to have come last week but for some reason he didn't so I want you all to be on your best behavior when he comes." he added. "Do you understand me?" "Yes Sir Archmiagus." All students said in unison. "Good, the Emperor has a few rules laid out," he said and clapped his hands once, a small scroll appeared beside each of the students which they all took to go through its contents. "The most two important rules he gave which he marked by himself its there: don't talk to him and never talk to him unless he talks to you so please do yourself good and obe—" he didn't get to finish his words when they all heard the thundering pounding of hooves on the ground coming towards the Academy gate signaling the arrival of her. Archmiagus disappeared the next second without any more word. All teachers and students ran back with speed to their various classes, locking up the doors.Chapter 1️⃣ 3️⃣5️⃣❤️ Epilogue (2) ❤️Nasaria could not hold back the tears anymore. They streamed down her face freely as she rushed forward and hugged Nyxoria tightly. "Thank you," she sobbed. "Thank you so much. I swear on everything I am that I will not let you down. I will be a good queen. I will make you proud.""I know you will," Nyxoria said softly, hugging her back. When they finally let go of each other, Nasaria wiped her tears and tried to compose herself. But then she looked at Nyxoria with confusion again. "But I do not understand something. Why are you not interested in ruling the kingdoms yourself? You are the rightful heir. This is your birthright."Nyxoria glanced over at Tharros, who was standing quietly near the window with a small smile on his face. "Tharros was a wanderer before we met in my past life," Nyxoria explained. "He traveled from place to place, from realm to realm, never staying in one location for too long. And I want to follow him and wander with him
Chapter 1️⃣3️⃣4️⃣❤️ Epilogue (1) ❤️The moment that Tharros said the word "checkmate," something absolutely incredible and terrifying began to happen to Myrrak's body right before everyone's eyes. His skin started to lose all of its color and substance, becoming gray and grainy. And then, piece by piece, his entire body began to turn into sand.It started with his fingers first. They crumbled away into fine grains that were immediately caught by the wind and scattered in all directions. Then his hands dissolved. His arms. His shoulders. His torso. Everything was turning to sand and being blown away until nothing remained of him at all except for one single thing. The heart. Erezhul's heart that Myrrak had stolen so many years ago was the only thing left standing there on the ground where Myrrak's body had been. It was still beating, still pulsing with life and power and bloody. The heart lifted up into the air on its own, floating upward as if being pulled by invisible strings. It fl
Chapter 1️⃣ 3️⃣3️⃣ ❤️ Fight To Death (2) ❤️ Lynn tried to say something, tried to form words, but all that came out was blood. Her eyes began to glaze over as the life drained from her body. Her last expression was one of complete regret and bitter realization of all the mistakes she had made. And then Lynn took her final breath and died. Nyxoria pulled her claws out of Lynn's chest and let the body fall to the ground. She felt no joy in the kill, but no sadness either. Just a sense of finality, of justice finally being served. * * * On another part of the battlefield castle, Myrrak and Tharros had finally come face to face. They circled each other slowly, both of them radiating immense power. The air between them seemed to crackle with energy. "I have been waiting for this moment for so long," Myrrak said, and his red eyes were blazing with madness. "To finally face you properly, Erezhul. Or should I call you Tharros now?" "Call me whatever you want," Tharros said coldly. "
Chapter 1️⃣3️⃣2️⃣❤️ Fight To Death ❤️But Nyxoria was faster. She grabbed Lynn's wrist and twisted it hard, making Lynn drop the dagger with a cry of pain. Then Nyxoria punched Lynn square in the face with her transformed clawed hand.Lynn's head snapped to the side from the force of the blow, and blood sprayed from her broken nose. She fell to the ground hard."Get up," Nyxoria commanded. "I am not done with you yet."Lynn struggled to her feet, wiping blood from her face. "You think you are so powerful now? You think having Tharros makes you special?""I do not need Tharros to defeat you," Nyxoria said coldly. "I could beat you all on my own even if I was still as weak as I was when you first betrayed me. Because unlike you, I actually learned and grew stronger instead of staying the same bitter, jealous person."That hit a nerve. Lynn screamed in rage and charged at Nyxoria with her bare hands, trying to claw at her face.Nyxoria easily dodged and countered with a kick to Lynn's s
Chapter 1️⃣3️⃣1️⃣❤️ Myrrak and Tharros (3) ❤️The moment the Voidspawn creatures began landing in the courtyard and surrounding areas of the castle, absolute chaos erupted everywhere. The sky was filled with the bone chilling shrieks and roars of the creatures as they descended from Myrrak's floating palace above. The ground shook with each heavy impact as more and more of the massive beasts landed, their claws digging into the earth. The Nightweavers immediately rushed forward to meet the enemy head on, their shadow weapons raised and ready. The kings and queens who had assembled in the courtyard also prepared themselves for battle, drawing their own weapons and calling upon their various powers. Magic of all different colors began filling the air as the supernatural rulers unleashed their abilities against the invading creatures.Nyxoria stood at the front lines, her eyes scanning the battlefield quickly to assess the situation. And that was when she saw her. Lynn. Her fake mother,
Chapter 1️⃣ 3️⃣0️⃣❤️ Myrrak and Tharros (2) ❤️ Nyxoria watched in absolute awe as more and more Nightweavers kept coming up from below. Ten, twenty, fifty, one hundred, two hundred. They just kept coming and coming, filling up the entire throne room until there was barely any space left to stand. "How many are there?" Dika asked in a whisper, her eyes wide as she watched the army materialize. "Enough," Tharros said simply. Just as the last of the Nightweavers emerged from the cave below and the hole in the floor began to close itself up again, the doors to the throne room suddenly burst open. And through those doors came Vyrelen's Nightweavers, the ones he had created on the mountain. Leading them was Sheba, the fierce female Nightweaver that Vyrelen had named first who also has a crush on Tharros but seeing that it won't work out, she had killed it. Following behind her were three other Nightweavers who had survived that terrible night many years ago when the nightweavers were
