❤️ The Emperor's Arrival (1) ❤️
"Forget about that mark she bears and kill the one who murdered her parents in cold blood, the one standing in front of us." Elder Rue pointed at her. "Let's kill her like she did to the king and queen," he added. "As long as the mark is on her body, we can't harm the one the moon has chosen to guide us except she uses her own hands to kill herself, willingly." the third elder that hardly spoke at any of their meetings spoke. He was Elder Kila, the leader of the air Wolf clan. "Nonsense," Elder Rue said walking up towards Nyxoria and then proceeded to hold her hair, which tilted her head upwards and made her hissed out in pain. "She knows what she did. We just have to punish her gravely to make her admit what she did and then after her confession, we cut off her head. She sinned against the moon goddess and against the earth that she walks on." He spits out in anger. "Don't say things you don't know Rue, she said she doesn't remember and somehow I believe her, our top priority should be finding out if she is saying the truth and if she is, that means there is a killer amongst us and in our kingdom." Elder Kila spoke again, softly. "Until proven guilty, she will be the one to rule us after the burial of my brother and his wife." Vyr supported what Elder Kila had said. "Nonsense," Elder Rue said again, those words irritating Nyxoria, "she is just eight years old and she cannot rule us, I refuse to let a little child, a murderer, rule over me." "She has the mark of the Obsidian Sigil of Liora, and whoever puts the crown on his or her head forcefully will die immediately, you of all people should know that Elder Rue, except she uses her hands to place the crown on whoever she wants then that person is free from death, you know that's the curse from Liora and the only one the crown won't affect is the emperor except you want him to rule all of us." The fourth Elder of the Storm clan, Julian, said. He was the oldest and the rest of the clans respect him and his words. "Nonsense," Elder Rue spoke and this time around his hold on Nyxoria hair was so tight that he was pulling off some of her hair. "Don't pity her pretty little face, if not, you won't see the devil in her." "Uncle, will you miss him if he is gone? His voice is getting boring." Nyxoria's little voice cut through the air. She smiled as if the pain Rue was causing her was nothing. But none of them paid her any attention. "Elder Rue I don't know what problem you have with my niece but I can assure you that she is not a murderer and until we have evidence that she committed the crime, she is innocent." Vyr said. "Nonsen-" He didn't get to complete the word because a scream erupted from his mouth and he moved back as the hand he used in grabbing Nyxoria's hair was still holding onto it. His scream stopped whatever discussion that was going on. Nyxoria has cut off his left hand he'd uses to grip her hair off with the sword with her, how she had pulled it off since her back was facing him no one knows, Vyr rushed to her to get the sword, that his twin brother and his wife dried blood was still lingering on it and now coated with the blood of Rue, away from her but to his surprise once again, he couldn't. Her grip on the sword was as strong as glue. Vyr sighed as the memories flooded to him. After his brother and his wife was buried, everyone attended the burial, the witches, vampires etc everyone supernaturals came except for the young Emperor. Nyxoria had surprised everyone after the council of elders called for a second meeting and told them she had chose Vyr to sit on the throne and rule over the kingdoms. He could remember her exact words that day. "Until I remember what happened that night I won't sit on this throne even though I come of age to rule Uncle, I still won't sit," she had said. "Until I remember why and how I killed them, you will be the High King." She added and lifted up the crown and gestured for her uncle to knee down before her which Vyr did and she crowned him the High King herself. "All I am saying is that you know they already hate you so don't make them hate you more." Vyr told her. "I am not going to change myself because of some stupid people, you don't like me, I don't like you back, life is simple." Nyxoria said. "Why didn't you attend the academy today? You haven't attended since last week." Vyr asked softly, changing the topic. "I was not in the mood of going to the academy Uncle but since you said, I am now in the mood to go." "By now? The sun is up." "The moon hasn't come out, right? So there is still more time." Nyxoria shrugged. "See you in a few hours Uncle." "Take care, my child and please don't cause any trouble." "And you too." Nyxoria shouted as she walked out of the throne room and signal for a guard standing guard to ready her horse, penelope. ★★★ Academy of the Arcane: At the large Assembly Grounds of the Academy all students stood and were staring at the direction the principal of the Arcane stood there. The werewolves stood in their line, the witches, vampires, faires and so on did the same thing. The principal was a half vampire and a fairy. He was handsome, his pale skin was a sight to behold, he was tall and muscular, he had lost one of his eyes two years ago and doesn't like to talk about it. "I know you all may be wondering why I had summoned you all out here, I know all of you are eager to go back to your class but I have a very important announcement to make." He began grabbing the attention of everyone. "Our emperor will be joining us today, he ought to have come last week but for some reason he didn't so I want you all to be on your best behavior when he comes." he added. "Do you understand me?" "Yes Sir Archmiagus." All students said in unison. "Good, the Emperor has a few rules laid out," he said and clapped his hands once, a small scroll appeared beside each of the students which they all took to go through its contents. "The most two important rules he gave which he marked by himself its there: don't talk to him and never talk to him unless he talks to you so please do yourself good and obe—" he didn't get to finish his words when they all heard the thundering pounding of hooves on the ground coming towards the Academy gate signaling the arrival of her. Archmiagus disappeared the next second without any more word. All teachers and students ran back with speed to their various classes, locking up the doors.Chapter 2️⃣2️⃣❤️ Something Dangerous (3) ❤️Once Liora was done eating, she politely excused herself and stood from the table, making her way back to her chamber. She needed some time alone. Not long after, Lynn sent a guard to send her message, and within minutes, the twin brothers who lived in the palace arrived in the dining room. Laka and Vyr walked in quietly and gave a respectful bow before Queen Lynn, who was still seated at the table, finishing up the last part of her meal.“The next full moon is just a week away,” Queen Lynn said, her tone calm but firm as she dropped her spoon onto the empty plate and wiped her fingers on the piece of a cloth laid on the table. “That is the day everything must happen. I hope you both are prepared.”Vyr nodded quickly, his face serious. But Laka didn’t move. He stood still, arms at his sides, his face unreadable.Vyr glanced at him, worried. Then, not wanting to speak out loud, he gave Laka a soft push on the shoulder, trying to signal him w
Chapter 2️⃣1️⃣❤️ Something Dangerous (2) ❤️Liora didn’t even realize when a small smile appeared on her face. It just came on its own, soft and quick, and before she could stop it, it was already there."But why did you lie to me about being a ghost?" she asked, her voice calm but with a hint of hurt. "You made me feel like a complete fool. Especially when Lynn said she could see you clearly. I almost doubted myself."Erezhul looked at her, his face unreadable at first, but then he gave a small shrug and leaned back a little in the chair."I wanted to see if you could actually believe me when I told you that. I wasn't even floating around in the air or do see right through my body, my intestines? No, so when you believed me, I know you were gullible and that was why I had to tell you I am real and not a ghost but you still choose not to me believe me Just like when I told you that your precious Myrrak used a sleep spell on you to make you fall asleep that night."Liora frowned and s
Chapter 2️⃣0️⃣❤️ Something Dangerous ❤️Liora's Chamber:Obsidian sighed deeply through their mind link, the sound carrying more weight than usual.“Please, believe me, master. I won't lie to you. Everything I say is the truth.”Liora rubbed her temple and leaned back against her pillows. “I only believe what my eyes can see, Obsidian. Not mere talks. Not hearsay."“I’m not making this up,” obsidian said gently. “If you let me, I can show you what I see, what I feel from her. Just a glimpse. It’ll be enough.”But Liora shook her head firmly, her brows furrowing. “No. I’m not interested. You could make things up and show me to make it look like you are right. Like I said, seeing and believing is what I still stand on. And that’s my sister you’re talking about. Lynn. She’s my blood.”She paused for a moment and softened her voice, trying to stay calm.“I didn’t summon you to talk about Lynn or Myrrak. I asked about Erezhul and you have given me my answers, thank you."There was a silen
Chapter 1️⃣9️⃣❤️ Obsidian Reveal ❤️“What?” Liora blinked, not sure if she heard right. She turned fully to face her twin, her brows raised in confusion. “Wait, what did you just say?”Lynn didn’t flinch. “I said, can you ask your new friend, Erezhul, to make me something like that?”Liora stared at her for a second longer, still not believing what she was hearing. “You want him to make you your own version of Noah and Fefe?”Lynn gave a single nod, her arms folded loosely across her chest. She tried to look casual, as if it wasn’t a big deal, but Liora could see the tension behind her sister’s eyes. That’s what made her ask again. “Why though? You don’t fight, Lynn. You never have. Remember? I’m always the one picking up the sword, fighting for you, for us. You’re the one who handles the throne, the decisions, the court, so why now?”There was a pause."What if one day you're not around to protect me, Liora?" Lynn said, her voice a little more serious now. "You know I don’t trust th
Chapter 1️⃣8️⃣❤️ The Gifts of Erezhul ❤️“I was just training in the forest like I always do,” Liora said, shrugging a bit as she leaned against the edge of the throne. “And then out of nowhere, he just appeared. And since then, he keeps showing up like that… popping out of thin air without invitation.”She said it sincerely, not trying to make it sound like anything more than it was. But there was a softness in her tone that even she didn’t notice.Lynn raised a brow and folded her arms. “Please, Liora,” she said with a calm voice, though her eyes were sharp. “Don’t forget you have a mate already. You’re not just any girl wandering the forest anymore.”Liora blinked and turned to look at her sister fully.“You’ll be getting married to Myrrak in the next full moon,” Lynn continued, her voice a mix of fake concern. “You shouldn’t be entertaining anyone. Especially not a strange man who just shows up to you whenever he wants.”She gave a small, almost pitying smile, like she was the on
Chapter 1️⃣7️⃣❤️ Not Yours to Command ❤️“He’s disrespecting the bond you have with Myrrak,” Lynn said, her voice dripping with irritation as she shot a look at Erezhul.Liora’s smile faded slightly, but she wasn’t about to let Lynn get under her skin. “Drop it, Lynn. Erezhul isn’t the reason why I came to see you today.” She waved a hand casually, then pointed over to Fefe and Noah, who had been standing quietly, mostly ignored. “I told you, these are my sparring partners.”Lynn barely glanced at them, her tone dismissive. “Yeah, I heard you say that before, Liora. Having sparring partners isn’t exactly groundbreaking.”Liora chuckled, shaking her head. “I know, but that’s not what I’m excited about. Erezhul actually made them.”That stopped Lynn cold. Her attention snapped to Erezhul and back to Liora, her eyes narrowing with curiosity.“Wait,” Lynn said, her voice sharper now, “he made them? How?”Liora’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “I don't know how he made them. You’ll have t
