Chapter 20

My warriors mind linked me and told me that they were ready for me. I stood up from the couch feeling tired and wanting this day to be over and done with. I need to go home and rest, but I can’t leave things like this here.

Getting to the training grounds, I find all the pack members there, fear was thick in the air, they feared me, and I am not sure how I feel about that. All I wanted was to free myself and my pack from the claws of my father.

I never wanted to acquire more packs and I certainly never wanted to be feared but to be respected. But I guess that is what I get for killing the king. “I will not take much of your time, this day has been long for all of us.” I start then scan their faces.

She-wolves are holding their pups close, and fear is written all over their faces. As I continue to scan the crowd, I am met with fierce eyes of a red head. She is holding the hand of a young boy not older than eight, if I am not mistaken.
