Alpha William of the Blood Moon pack. The name alone made many tremble in fear. The man was known for his brutality, thirst for blood, and beautiful women. Since the death of his mate, in questionable ways. The man has been nothing but brutal, bloodthirsty, and has this thing for beautiful women like his mate held him back from bedding them. But now that she was gone.
The man had all the time in the world to bed any beautiful woman he wanted. This, of course, infuriated his son, Jake. Alpha William has been terrorizing packs for years now, killing innocent, the pack's alphas and taking what he wanted by force. This day was no different. His pack was at the Golden Moon Pack’s border, ready to spill blood.
He and his warriors were already bloodied from killing the warriors at the border. “Crush them all! Charge and kill those ants!” bellowed alpha William through the mind link, giving a long-awaited command to his warriors.
Their paws and feet thundered on the ground as they swam the enemy pack territory like bees ready to attack. The ruthless alpha stood at the back, watching his warriors as they marched forward. He stood in all his glory with fur black as the night that it shined under the moonlight.
So huge that one could mistake him for a bear at first glance. He looked upon the moon as if asking for blessings, then howled, letting his enemy know he has arrived. When he was done with the howl, he ran to catch up with his warriors, and when he was close; he stood firm on the ground, balancing himself like a cat.
He then let out his signature growl. It was so loud and powerful that small animals in the forest ran and hid. The trees shook, and the enemy knew he had arrived.
Cold sweat gathered on the forehead of the Golden Moon alpha as he cowered inside his pack house, praying to the Goddess that the warriors outside will hold the ruthless alpha off. But it was unlikely.
Elena, a she-wolf, and a skilled warrior, was one of those that were guarding the packhouse to keep their alpha and Luna safe. They knew that if they were killed, then they will all become rogues. They knew that eventually, alpha Willian was going to come for their pack, and they put measures in place to protect themselves.
But judging from the howls that were getting closer and closer, they feared that their strategy was no match for the animals that were coming for them. Elena’s heart was beating like an African drum in her chest, and she could tell how close the perpetrators were to her home. She knew then that her family was not safe.
Her heart broke at the thought of them dying. Shrieks were heard from she-wolves and cries from children not so far from the packhouse. While still listening to those horrible cries, she felt the bond between her and her parents cut painfully, and she knew they had died. There was no time for her to grieve their deaths as the intruders appeared in their line of view.
Elena took her fighting stance, ready to defend her pack and leaders. This was her first time being in a real battle besides training. She was a skilled warrior, but there has never been a need for her to fight in real battle until now. No one could have ever prepared her for the real battle. In training, they try to teach them and tell them all about the battle, but it was never close to what she was seeing now.
The wolves in front of her had cold eyes, an aura of death around them, and they killed without mercy. The intruders soon attacked, and Elena lunged at one and started fighting. She was quick to get the upper hand on her opponent because she has not killed before. She would hesitate before ripping their throats off.
She was skilfully fighting one wolf after another and could see her pack warriors falling one by one in the hands of these animals, and that made her fight even harder. The front of the packhouse was soon soaked with blood and decorated with dead bodies. A sight she knew will keep her awake for many nights to come.
A mind link came through to Elena while she was fighting off yet another intruder. “He likes beautiful women; I am sure he is going to be taken by you. Kill him during the mating and rid us of him.” The mind link was from her alpha. Elena did not want to be taken by alpha William.
She knew no woman lasted longer than a month or two with him and she did not want to die. At least not that way. That made Elena fight harder and more viciously. After killing one warrior, another appeared or two would attack at the same time.
She fought well and was drenched in the blood of her enemies. But the one that came next seemed young. Fearless but young nonetheless, he was skilled but was no match for a skilled warrior like Elena. She fought him and had him by the neck in no time, ready to rip his throat off, but of course; she hesitated.
During that time, someone knocked her on the back of her head, and she fell to the ground. Her hand went to the back of her head to feel the gush and wetness caused by the blood coming from it. She tried getting up, but her head felt heavy and her eyes refusing to see properly. She opened and closed them to clear her vision, but it was futile.
Soon black dots fill her vision and before passing out she heard someone say. “Woo! This one is a beauty! It would be a waste if she died here. Let us take her with us.”
Elena woke up with her head throbbing. It was like she was hit by a truck and the heaviness of her head made her feel like she had drunk too much the night before. She tried to sit up, but her head wouldn’t let her. It was so painful, and she didn’t remember ever feeling the way she did at that moment. She laid back down and scanned the room they put her in. She remembers what happened. She remembered very well how she ended up in that room. She might not remember who brought her there exactly. But she knew those monsters captured her and brought her there. She had a pretty good idea where she was. She turned her head and scanned the room. It was small and looked like the servant’s quarters back in her pack. Her pack. She wondered if she can still call it that after what her alpha said to her. She was angry at that man; her parents were loyal to him and yet he left them to fend for themselves along with others while he hid in his pack house. The one who was supposed to protect all o
Elena “Mate!” growled the young, handsome man as soon as our eyes lock. He is tall, bulky, and handsome, just like they said he was. “Come with me and I will protect you” I shake my head no; I still have something to do, and I cannot leave without finishing it. He stalks towards me without taking his eyes off me for one second. I stand when he gets close, but I forget I have a knife hidden on my sleeve and it falls to the ground, making a noise. We were in the hall having a feast before I mate with the monster when this god in front of me entered. Silence filled the room; no one was expecting him to come. There were whispers all around until he walked up to me and acknowledged me as his mate. “She is trying to kill the alpha, cease her!” someone picked up my weapon and yelled, breaking our moment. I panic and look around. All the warriors were coming at me, and the alpha was on his feet. Fury present in his eyes as he glares at me. My mate comes to my side and stands in front of
Elena While I was still shocked, the maid does the sleeve quickly, then runs out of the room before I could say anything. I pace the room, worried that she might have just said that so that I do not kill her in this room and when she comes back. She will be with warriors, and they will kill me before avenging my parents. “Stupid, stupid, stupid Elena!” I scold myself for being stupid and not acting quickly enough. I go to the high window and peek outside. Even if I jump out of this window, I will break some bones when landing and they will catch me. I am on the fourth floor, for Goddess’s sake!I did not think something like this will happen and I did not plan on what to do if it did. I move away from the window and walk to the door, but before I could open it, it opens and reveals the nervous face of the maid. I move back and she comes in and then closes the door quickly behind her. She takes out a bottle with purpose liquid in it. Wolfbane. She did not go to rat me out, but went
Jake I watched as the son of a bitch I call a father leave the hall with so much arrogance. I cannot wait for tomorrow so that I can kill him, and the war can stop. This man let my mother die and has the audacity to keep bringing women here. Parading them around as Luna like my mother meant nothing. Tomorrow will not be like the other times I challenged him for the position, and it certainly will not be like the time when I was twelve and he almost killed me. No, it will not be like any of those times. Now I am ready for him. My uncle Martin trained me well. I owe everything to that man. If it were not for him, I am sure I would have turned out exactly like that bastard. The mating ceremony is now ruined because I challenged him for the alpha position, and I do not care much about that. I never approved of these things anyway, and this time he was going to be mating with my mate. Oh, Goddess, a mate. Why did you give me a mate when you know I do not want one? Now when I kill Willia
Jake I take large strides, heading to the doors. I hear low growls behind me, but I ignore them and walk out the door. I do not stay in the packhouse because that is not my home anymore; it has not been my home for a long time. I take her to my uncle’s house and when I get in; he looks at me with questioning eyes. He inhales, then groans. “Heat?” he asks the obvious, and I nod. He points me to the guest room downstairs and follows me behind. I opened the door and placed her on the bed. She then wakes up and starts stripping off her clothes. I look at my uncle and he shrugs. “What do I do?” I asked my uncle. Her arousal is not helping things at all. My dick is hard as a rock, and my wolf wants nothing more than to devour his mate. But I cannot do that. I do not want to do this. “Fill a bath with cold water” my uncle says but when I am about to get out of the door, he stops me. “Take her to the shower instead and let her sit under running water.” He tells me and I curse under my bre
Jake I jerked up from bed when I heard a banging on the door; it takes me a minute to register what the banging was. “Come in.” I say yawning, I still want to sleep for a couple of more hours. “Why are you still sleeping at this time? The crowd is already gathering on the training grounds.” My uncles says, and it hits me. This is the day I get to put an end to John Williams.I get out of bed. “I am ready.” Now my expression has changed, sleep is long gone and the only thing that remained in my mind was killing the bastard. I head to the shower and take a quick one. When I get back to my room, my uncle is gone but there is a note on the bed, and I take it. ‘May the Goddess be with you today; may she bless you with strength to see this through. I have gone to the training ground, see you shortly. Your proud uncle.” The note read. A small smile plays on my lips as I read the last part of the note. Whether I win or lose, I know this man will still be proud of me. I frown thinking how I
Jake Trojan ran all the way to the woods behind our packhouse and all the way towards the mountain. I kept quiet and let him keep control. He blocked me off from his mind, so I didn’t know what was going on with him, but I decided to trust him. Today for the first time Trojan revealed a bit of information about himself. My wolf didn’t talk much, only when it was necessary. He ran and ran with his big paws thundering on the ground as he ran. Wind blew on his fur, he ran until he came to a stop at a clearing I didn’t even know existed. He drank water and sat down with his head laid on his front paws. I could feel the sadness pouring out of his whole being, I knew it was his because I felt nothing for the monster we just killed. “I held him in my arms when he was born, I remember how proud my son was when John was born.” Started Trojan.I did not interrupt him, I kept quiet and let him continue. “We thought he was going to be the greatest alpha the world has ever seen and indeed, he was
Elena I watched him leave, and I clenched my fist in anger. That arrogant bastard! To think I thought he was better than his father, they are just the same. How could he do this to me, how could he take away my only chance to avenge my parents? I am happy that dog Williams is dead, but I was angry I am not the one who did it. I wanted him to die by my hand. I wanted to look him in the eye as he took his last breath. He took that away from me, first, he takes advantage of me in my vulnerable moment then leaves in bed to go kill his father. He could have at least woken me up so that I can watch as he died. “I am sorry you feel this way, but our mate did not take advantage of us.” My wolf decides this was a good time to talk to me.“What do you mean by that? Do you think if I was in my right mind, I would have slept with him? Whose side are you on?” I asked my wolf one question after another. She was pissing me off. “I am on your side but let me ask you this, would you have preferred he
