I looked at myself in the mirror, the dress I was wearing was a little loose but short. It was a pulled neck, I was doing this to hide my skin from the vicious monster. It seemed Mason had gone a little too far.

“Granny, doesn't he have any relatives… I mean, what's he like,” I asked the old lady who just brought laundry to my room.

“Dear, Mr. Wilder is a good man…your mother is lucky to have him,” the old woman said more calmly and warmly. I rolled my eyes at her words. I didn't think so. I wondered what made her say that. That man was nothing but a filthy jerk.

“Was he married before…how come this house is empty…no little brother or sister or anything,” I asked, knowing full well, all humans had some sort of family background. The old lady seemed to take her time answering because she was now ironing my clothes.

“Do you need anything… I'll happily get it done,” instead of answering my questions, the lady said calmly. I never knew of a person who was so calm as the old grann
