“Ha! A little here and here…and wow!” I exclaimed and showed the two how I was cleaning the desk and arranging the files neatly. Mason and Mia didn't utter a word but kept looking at me as if I were insane.

“There and there…put it nicely,” I said while stacking the files together when suddenly, I knocked over a glass vase which shattered to the floor into pieces.

“Oh no,” I was screwed, the vase looked expensive with exotic flowers. The water splashed everywhere and on the files that fell.

“What are you doing?” It was Mia who asked coldly while I lowered down to pick up the file. Unfortunately, Mason beat me to it before I could touch the broken glass.

“Leave it,” he said and shoved my hands away. I felt embarrassed, I stepped away from Mason and watched as he picked up the glass pieces.

“How clumsy are you… Mas be careful,” Mia said and rested her hand on Mason's back. Deep down, I felt a sharp pain in my heart.

“I didn't mean it… I'll get the cleaner,” I said apologetically
