Saved her again

I escaped from the bloodthirsty wolves, limping on one paw with blood dripping from my neck. My eyes were blurry. I managed to escape, but I was injured. My wolf was little and couldn't take the torture.

The forest was dark and thickened with fog. The trees in the forest were malady-brown. Grains of poison begrimed the bark and gleamed like witch dust. The loud howls haunted the sooty coppices, salivating over their prey and smearing the blood over their heavy faces. The decaying air and stifling atmosphere provided the perfect abode for those who worshiped the darkness rather than the light.

I was in wolf form, I could smell it all, my paws digging deep into the muddy puddles as I galloped away seeking a safe place to hide. In the dense shadows, spiders clutched their snare strings. My alert eyes picked up the sounds, even the littlest ones. My little wolf was getting exhausted. It wasn't like most times I got the strength to run throughout the night.
