CHAPTER 10; I HATE YOU

REAH'S POV 

"When she is done, drag her to my room." He said to the Beta and walked away. 

I couldn't believe my ears. Was I to be his maid or his Luna? What exactly was going on here?

I grudgingly put on the jacket while using the remaining buttons on my shirt to cover up my chest and I picked up the torn bra on the ground, putting it inside my bag before opening the door. 

I stepped down from the car and turned to look at the Beta, whose expression was as cold as Alpha Xavier's. "I'm done," I told him and he nodded. 

"Come with me then." He said and led the way. 

I followed after him and he took me to Alpha Xavier's room. I wanted to run away, I wanted to disagree but then, wouldn't that only lead to more embarrassment if the Beta decided to drag me as he was instructed to?

We walked for more than fifteen minutes before he finally stopped in front of a room and knocked. "She is here, Alpha," He announced and walked away, after bowing slightly to me. 

I stood in front of the door, my hands sweating and my brows creased. My heart was beating so fast that I was finding it hard to breathe properly and tears kept rolling down my eyes. What have I gotten myself into? Was it supposed to be like this?

The door opened, revealing Alpha Xavier, who already changed into a short and singlet. His eyes caught mine and he grabbed my hand, pulling me in. Seeing that I was inside, I removed my hand from his and moved away from him...

"Why are you doing this? Why?" I asked, tears rolling freely down my face. 

He stopped and crossed his arms, "I'm trying to confirm if you are a witch," He replied and my eyes twitched. 

"Confirm? By stripping me?" I questioned and he shrugged. 

 "I can only find out if I see the mark on your body. It is usually on the back, on your chest or on your butt. I've checked your chest and your back but there's no mark there." He answered and moved closer to me. 

Seeing that, I moved back. Without him saying it, I knew what he wanted to do. He had checked my chest and my back, leaving my buttock that he hadn't checked. "You can't do that," I mumbled. 

It was my body, I knew me best. "I don't have any mark on me!" I cried. 

"Then, let me see!" He yelled. 

"And why should I? Who are you to control me like this?"

"I'm your husband!"

His words rang in my ears. "I'm your husband!"

"I'm your husband!"

Why did he have to control me? Because he was my husband. 

Why did he have to check my butt? He was my husband!

Why did he have to see my nakedness? He was my husband!

Those three words would have made me very excited if they had come from him before all these but not anymore. He just showed me how beastly he was and I was starting to regret my marriage with him!

I threw the certificate of our wedding on the ground and spat, "To hell with you and the wedding!" I yelled. "I'm no longer interested in this marriage and you can go to hell for all l care!" I added and turned around to leave. 

Alpha Xavier did not own my life. We were married but that didn't mean he could treat me anyhow. I was doing fine without him and if it got too bad, I could lend some money from Joyce to start a business to take care of my child alone. There was no way I would stay with a monster like him!

"You're leaving?" His cold voice entered my ears and I sneered. 

"Did you lose your sight already? Can't you see what I'm doing?" I questioned, not bothering to look at him as I opened the door. 

I was about to step out of the room when his next word played in my head and I froze. I turned to face him with disbelief in my eyes "No, You won't do that." I uttered, my eyes twinkling with tears. 

He smirked, "Dare me then." He replied and walked toward his bed, where he sat and closed his eyes. 

I shook my head as more tears rolled down my eyes. What have I done to myself? What have I dragged myself into?

"You can't touch my mother. She is all I have right now. She is my only family, please." I pleaded bitterly. 

He shrugged and nodded his head "Of course, Her life is in your hand. You can save or kill her." He said and opened his eyes. "Do everything I say and your mother will be safe. I will even try my best to treat her." He assured and my eyes widened. 

"You will treat her?" Excitement shone in my eyes as I asked him and he nodded. 

"Of course. But that's only if you behave well." He replied. 

Knowing what he meant, I closed the door and walked over to the center of the room where I picked up the certificate on the ground. I walked over to him, removed the jacket and started unbuttoning my skirt. 

His eyes stayed on me all through the process and my hands couldn't help but tremble. I felt embarrassed, I felt like I had no dignity anymore but I was helpless too. This was what I brought to myself and I had to pay for it. 

I drew down the skirt and turned my back at him, gently, I pulled down my panties, showing him my bare butt. 

After a few seconds, he stood up, picked the duvet and used it to cover me "You don't have it." He mumbled, confusion showing in his eyes. 

"I hate you," I mumbled as tears rolled down my eyes.
