Chapter 22The party was finally over and Martin and Caitlyn were on their way out after saying goodbye to madam Scarlett. Chapter 23"Caitlyn?" Lawyer Bernard called as he pushed the door open and walked into Caitlyn's office. He had a file in his hand. "Yes, sir?" Chapter 25Caitlyn stayed in the office even after all the workers had closed for the day and went home. Lawyer Bernard didn't return to the firm. The meeting didn't go well, so he had gone straight home afterward. Caitlyn didn't feel like leaving. She was hungry and exhausted from the day's work, but she preferred to make her hands and mind busy until night fell before going home.
