Chapter 32"Good morning, sir," Caitlyn stood up and greeted as lawyer Bernard walked into her office. "Get ready. There's somewhere we need to be in two minutes," He told her and turned to walk out immediately, ignoring her greeting. She knew something was amiss. Perhaps, a serious case to be handled by them. It was some minutes past 6pm. Caitlyn Hugh was dragging her tired feet back home after a long day at work. As she walked along the lonely road, she looked back at intervals, hoping for a cab to appear. Although she was very much aware that cabs do not ply that road, Caitlyn prayed for a miracle. She took out her phone from the small bag she hung on her shoulder and connected her headset to the device. She was going to click play on her favourite music, but the sound of a car honking halted her. She stopped walking, and the car stopped, too. Inwardly, Caitlyn hoped that the owner of the car would offer her a ride- she was so exhausted to the point of accepting an offer without caring if the driver was a stranger or not. A man dressed in a blue and black uniform stood at the widely opened gate; Caitlyn guessed the man was his gatekeeper. "We meet again, Mr handsome," Caitlyn smiled and stopped in front of him. Martin sighed and made to walk away. "Mr Bernard isn't in at the momen," She informed him, and he paused."Let's leave, then," Martin said to his secretary."Sir, it was really hard to secure an appointment with him. If we leave now, we won't be able to get to him till the next three or four weeks," His secretary whispered to his hearing and hers alone. A small groan escaped his throat. "You both can wait in my office. He will be here in an hour or less," Caitlyn offered."Yes." "No." Martin and his secretary answered simultaneously. His secretary gave him an apologetic look. He cleared his throat and faced Caitlyn. "We will rather wait in my car," He told her."If you do that, you wouldn't be seeing him today. I'm his right hand. The person after him. I could put in words for you to enable the meeting hold today, if you want me to. Otherwise, I'll return to my office," Caitlyn voiced out with her usual smile.

"Did you win a lottery," The surprised man asked as he walked in on Caitlyn dancing happily. "Oh, no, sir," She replied and laughed heartily. She closed it and stretched the file to him, "here they are sir."He took it and thanked her before opening it. He brought out the documents and went through them, carefully. Caitlyn watched him, hoping there was no mistake.She was sure there was none, as she had carefully done as he asked. The man finished and put them back into the file. "Well done, Miss Caitlyn," He praised her and she smiled."See me in my office in thirty minutes. I'll prepare a file which you would give to Mr. Martin King the next time he comes to the firm."
