Something Must Have Happened

Rayan became dumbfounded after gaping at the pile of the files on the table with his eyes and mouth wide opened.

He blinked his eyes at those files before turning his head to his manager who brought these files. "Mr Joon. Have some pity on me. I got married yesterday." He gave him a puppy look.

Mr Joon suppressed his smile as he put the last file on the pile. "You got married yesterday. But you haven't come to the office for more than a week." He said, clearing his throat.

Rayan heaved a deep sigh. "Despite that, you should have told me to take it easy and give some more time. I'm already so.... exhausted."

"After last night?" Mr Joon raised eyebrows.

Rayan broke the eye contact immediately and rolled his eyes around, rubbing his hand on his neck. "No... I mean... Not yesterday. I was..." He paused as his eyes dropped at his phone. "Crystal. This woman! What's wrong with this woman? I told her to call me when she'll arrive at the hospital. But she didn't and I am now damn worried about
