I stared in shock at her. Those big green eyes were wide and pleading, and for the first time I could see all the hurt inside her. When Alpha Cole finally left, I shut the door behind him and threw the lock. Cole closed his eyes and pinched the skin between his nose in annoyance. Charlotte had been running all night, after escaping the pack house she just kept moving, as silently as possible through the woods towards the border of their territory, she drew upon as much of her wolf as she could without shifting.
