Eighteen

It did not take long once we were in town for me to figure out our search for my mate was over. Axle and I had located and stopped in at the town’s grocery shortly after arriving to refill some of our snack supply and her scent was there, all over ever aisle, it was so strong she’d had to have been there within an hour of us. I had followed traces of her scent to the edges of this town last night, I had even circled around it looking for signs of her leaving and had found none. I did not know as of yet where she was hiding, but I was certain of one thing. She was here.

We had already checked ourselves into yet another motel, while I admit this one was better than most we had been able to find, after weeks of traveling they were all awful.
