CARSON CITY, NEVADA.

Cameron's Point Of View

It didn't work.

I was standing right in front of her with my hands clutched around the bed frame and my eyes closed. I only pulled my eyes open when I heard the footfalls of the witches and Benjamin retreated down the hall.

My dark gaze lifted to my mate. We had moved her to one of the rooms at the witches’ quarters in Wiscon, and unfortunately, her condition has not improved one bit.

The only constant change was the unsteady glowing crystal right next to her that belonged to that bloody witch, Cyrene.

With a rough exhausted exhale, I reached for the windows to close them when I caught a faint outline of tonight's full moon and the mighty power radiating off it.

I was jolted from my thoughts by the ringing of my phone. As soon as I saw Asher's name on the screen, I brought it to my ears.

"Talk to me,"

"Jace was right. She was here in Beacon Fall," There was a string of bitter emotion in his voice, and soon it found its way
