IRYN'S POV

I can almost swear that the sound of my palm meeting his cheek is heard throughout the entire garden.

Fenric’s head jerks to the side, but his grin is rather wolfish when he looks back at me, startling me in the process because his lips are now split and bleeding.

Had I hit him that hard?

“I hate you,” I whisper, not even knowing why I say that while my body's trembling all over, although my lips are still burning from his kiss.

“I know you don't mean that,” He says and brushes his thumb over the corner of my mouth, causing me to furrow my brows at him in confusion.

It's when he pulls his hand away and I notice the blood on his hands that I realise I had probably bitten him while he kissed me.

“She’s stronger,” Nyall mutters, and I immediately turn to see him looking at me with awe and worry both written across his face.

“Stronger than any Omega should be,” Orien adds in a low voice.

“What the hell is happening to her?”

I'm not bothered by what he just said... exactly... I

    IRYN'S POV I skim through the page, my eyes scanning the line as I read what is labelled as lists of leaves and roots.They're not poison exactly, but they're all antidotes for poison, and as I read on, I realise that each one is fit for only certain poisons.... Otherwise, they 'antidote' might end up worsening the effects.I'm fascinated as I read on; there are so many herbs and antidotes in here.I find a leaf that's good for a fever, a tree bark that's good for forest rat bites and even a herb that's capable of giving female werewolves pink lips if used for a whole year straight.I'm in awe.However, when I'm done reading the chapter on COUNTER POISONS, I don't see anything that's an antidote or counter poison for Rose hip blend tea.Does this mean that the tea wasn't poisonous after all?My fingers dig deeper into the open pages of the book absently, and eyes dart around before looking back down at the book again.I'm still wondering were else to search or if I should just... fo
