Ken'ichi gulped and took a deep breath before he decided to go inside.

He knelt down at Sezuka's height. "Stay here, don't come inside okay?"

Sezuka hesitantly looked at their mother's room first before she nodded obediently.

Ken'ichi then went inside and Sezuka came near to take a peek but he closed the door immediately.

"K-Ken'ichi? Ken? Is that you, my son?" his mother asked happily while sitting on her bed and tilt her glance at the corner of the door.

It's been a long time since the sibling visited their mother together. Now, only the brother comes and visit their last parent.

Ken sat quietly on the floor mat slightly having a distance and starred at her mother.

"I-I'm here, mom."

Her mother smiled and sighed. The atmosphere was quite awkward at first and only the cricket sound outside is heard.

Since their mother's vision is not in function anymore, she just sat there smiling wondering how her children grew up.

"So, how was your work today? Are you still working near the Capital?" his mother asked casually.

Ken's troubled heart became calm when he heard his mother's angelic voice. At the same time, it also broke his heart hearing it that made him tear a little.

"Y-Yes, mom. I still work for Tokage-san and Asagi-san's shop near the port. It's really fun working with them!" Ken'ichi tried his best not to let her mother notice his broken voice.

"That's good to hear. How about Rezuka and Sezuka? Are they doing well?" she asked joyfully.

"Rezu-nee is still bossy as ever and Sezuka is still kind and cute. Both big sis and Sezuka are doing all right, they are outside." Ken'ichi awkwardly chuckled.

His mother also chuckled a bit but it sounded like a sad chuckled.

"I know Rezuka must've became braver now. She took care of Sezuka when she's still a baby and bore an adult's responsibility in a young age. I bet she'll make a great wife someday." she lay down on the bed keeping her sweet smile on and kept imagining seeing Rezuka with his future husband and children.

"Ken'ichi, take care of your sisters okay?" she smiled sadly.

"M-Mom..."

"I feel like I'm taking too much damage already, son. It might not be far too long when I loss myself completely. I... I might cause trouble soon. That's why..."

"No, mom! P-Please... No...!" the tears Ken'ichi held all this time begun to fall on his rosy pale cheeks.

"You must burn my body along with this room as soon as possible, alright?" she said with a smile but with a broken voice before her sentence ended.

"M-Mom... P-Please... I-I... I..." Ken'ichi sobbed.

"Now go.. You must not stay here longer. There's a possibility I can't control my movements later. Now go... Hurry!" she said while tears fell on her face.

The door suddenly opened revealing Rezuka anxiously.

"Ken!" she saw her brother weeping then she glanced at their mother.

"It's time to go. I warned you not to go inside for a long time, didn't I?" she said as she pulled her brother outside.

"N-Nii-shan..." Sezuka also started to tear up when she saw her brother crying.

"S-Sezuka..."

I need to be strong. I can't be seen as a pathetic brother when Sezuka's looking up at me.

Ken'ichi immediately wiped his tears in front of Sezuka.

Right!

"Shall we go fetch water?" I smiled at her.

He stood up and held Sezuka's hand.

"You're such a cry baby, idiot." Rezuka said and left first.

While walking, Ken'ichi suddenly felt a heartache that made him fell down on his knees. He held his heart tightly that feels like it was about to explode and continued to fall on the ground.

"Niii-shaaan!"

Then his eyesight blacked-out.

Walking on the shore after waiting for their father at work, Ken'ichi looked at the sea horizon.

"Those creepy clouds doesn't give me liking any time I see it."

"Well, don't assume they like you either." Rezuka said. 

Ken'ichi just looked at her madly then their father chuckled and sat on the sand.

"You see, some things doesn't always seem what they are. They might not always give their best view right away in front of people. Like when you see a plain soil not knowing there may be a treasure beneath it and when you see a beautiful lady not knowing she has eggs beneath." their father said.

"Eww!" Rezuka reacted.

"Did you experienced something like that, dad?" Ken'ichi laughed.

"It's not me. It's my friend." his father answered and looked at the sea horizon while holding his swan that helps him walk.

Rezuka looked at her father sadly and sat beside him. Ken'ichi on the other side held their father's arms.

"Nii-shaan!"

I immediately turned around when Sezuka shouted out of nowhere.

There, I saw Ken'ichi holding his heart and fell on the ground. I quickly went near them and shaked my brother's body. "Hey! Wake up, dumbass!"

Sezuka kneeled down and started crying.

"Sezuka quick! Get that bucket right there." I ordered and pointed the bucket not far from us. She ran immediately and got the bucket.

"H-Here..."

There's no other way to settle this. 

As soon as I got the bucket, I splashed the water on my brother. (*Do Not Follow)

"Pfffsshhh!"

"Nii-shan! Waaaaaaaaaah!" Sezuka cried. She was about to hug his brother when she paused for a moment and covered her nose.

"Ewww... Nii-shan, you stink!"

I sighed. Thankfully, the bucket was filled with enough water from the laundry I dried a while ago. When I washed those dirty rugs and such.

"What the..." Ken'ichi looked confused when he woke up.

I took a long sigh and stood up. "Now, you're good already."

"H-Hey! Did you just splashed me with the water from your dirty laundry?! You're taking revenge at me from eating your dessert yesterday, aren't you?!" he shouted while cleaning his dark brown hair.

"Am I?" Rezuka smirked and walked inside the house.

The hell is with that woman? I can't believe she's my sister!

"Nii-shan... You reaaaaaaaally need a lot of bath." Sezuka laughed and ran after Rezuka inside.

That damn Rezuka is teaching her evil attitude to innocent little Sezuka!
