She studied him. Zach changed a lot especially the physical part. She just noticed it now that he was a handsome man. How come she didn't see it when they were always been together before? Because his always been a big brother to you. Said her mind.

" What brings you here, Candice? I thought you'll be living your greatest dream in the city? " He sounded sarcastic. He seemed very formal when talking to her even his face was stoic. 

" Zach. What's wrong with you? Are you mad at me for leaving you? And I thought you understood. " She sighed. She couldn't beleive they are arguing right now. 

" Do I have the right, Candice? You're always near to me if you have a problem, I felt like I was just your bodyguard and not your friend. " Her mouth parted. He literally leave her stunned. She had no idea he felt that way. 

" I, I don't know what to say, Zach." She met his gaze and saw the sadness in there. " I'm so sorry Zach if you felt that way. " She automatically reached for him and hugged him tightly. " You're the only friend I have. It hurts me to know that you are mad at me. I'm so sorry, please forgive me? " She said crying.

" Wooh! Stop crying." He wiped the tears in her eyes. " Okay, I forgive you, Candy. Stop crying now. " 

" Oh, thank you, Zachy! " She planted multiple kisses on his burning cheeks. It was their endearment to each other. 

" Life there was not I expected to happened, Zach. I fell in love and was heart-broken because of me being a fat nerd . " There was sadness in her voice.

He clinched his fists. 

" How dare that man for hurting you, Candy!  He had no right at all. If I were there with you in the city, I will definitely beat him up till he can't breath! " His voice was angry but had a pitiful look at her. 

" Calm down, Zach. Brandon and I were over now, that's why I'm back at our Hacienda. I realized that it's better to live here with everyone loves me than in an unfamiliar place with no one at my side. I'd rather stay here with you and my family, Zach. " She hold his shaking hands with hers. 

" I'm glad you're here with me now." He said it in between rugged breathing. 

" Me too, Zach. " They both smiled to each other.

" I'm sorry Bran, it won't happen again. " After saying that Brandon let her go. She hurriedly put on her clothes and leave him immediately.

Brandon went directly to his mini bar. He reached for a vodka and drank it straight without a glass. This is one of the nights that sleep was reluctant to him. What's the matter with him?  Why was he feeling this way? Why was Candice always in his mind? Was he under her spell? He messed up his own hair. He was always confused of his feelings.

He woke up with a headache.

" Damn, hangover. " He slowly got up from his bed and went straight to his bathroom. He drank a medicine and wash his face. He saw his reflection in the mirror. He almost faint when he saw his face. His eyes had dark circles and his cheeks looks puffy.

He looked like shit!  He decided to take a bath. 

" Any news from her? " 

" Negative sir, my colleagues are all looking for her. Hopefully we had a lead, she was last seen in Santa Barbara. "

" That was too far from the city I live. Is there any other clues? " 

" We're working on it, sir  "

" Damn!  Then, double time if needed! I'm not paying you to make it slow. " His voice raised. It's the nth time he asked for any development but still they couldn't gave it. 

" I apologize for not giving you any reports today, sir. But I will try my best to find her. I'm coordinating with other agencies now that is helpful for my mission. I promise that at the end of the month I'll have news for you. "

" I'll wait for your report then. " He cut the call. He looked problematic. It's been a year since she last saw her and it's been sleepness night for him. Arlene and her seduction didn't helped him forgetting the woman he hurt before. 

It just worsened the situation. She became so demanding of his time and money. He felt bored with her company. He just wait for the proper time to broke up with her. " Well hello, loverboy! " The door from his office suddenly opened and Arlene was standing there. Wearing her red mini dress that was short of cloth. 

" What do you want now? " He asked Arlene without looking her. She pouted and walk directly to his direction. " Stay where you are woman! " Deja Vu. He remembered telling it to Candice the day he broke up with her. She stopped in the mid. Arlene frown and looked at him sharply.

" What's the matter again, Bran? " She didn't hide her annoyance to him. 

" I want to break up with you, Arlene. I'm not happy anymore with out set-up. I realized that I don't really love you. It's just lust I felt for you this past months. And I badly need to end this. "

" You bastard!  How dare you!"  She attacked him with punches and slaps. But it did not hurt him because he was stronger than her. He pushed her back. 

" Didn't I warned you for slapping me, sluth?" He's mad and trying himself not to punch Arlene back. " Do you really beleive that I didn't noticed your secret? I used your body but you took my money with you! We are quits, you know. " Her eyes widened because of his revelation. 

" Oh, I really hate you, brute! Let me go,  bastard!" Her angered heightened. " I don't care if you slap or punch me. I want to tell you that you are a coward! You are a user too. " He fake a smile. 

" That's why we clicked, right?  You're a user and I'm also a user. " He agreed to her. 

" I hate you!  You'll going to regret this, asshole!" She shouted at him before turning to leave him. 

He felt relieved. He only have one mission to do. To find Candice and ask for forgiveness. He pick up the intercom and dial Donald's number. 

" Come to my office now. " 

" Yes, sir. " He answered. 

He heard a knock from his door. And Donald came in. He wanted to talk to him about Candice, he was just shy doing it. But now, he swallowed his pride and need his help to find her. 

" What can I do for you, sir? "

" I just want to ask you if you have any news about Candice? " He felt awkward asking him but he continued. He shakes his head. 

" She didn't call me, sir. The last time we talked was her last day at the company. She said she will go back to her family's province because they need her there. But I forgot to asked her where? " He seemed so sure of his answers. He didn't even buckle. Brandon thought.

" Can I ask you a favor, Donald? "

" Of course, sir. " 

" If ever Candice called you, can you ask her what province she was talking about? Please? " Donald noticed the sadness in his boss's eyes. But his loyalty was to Candice, he will never ever betray his friend. 

" I understand, sir. I'll let you know if Candice called me. And I will also ask for her address. " He said smiling. 

" Thank, Donald. You may go. " He leaned back to his swivel chair. He didn't get the answer he needed after talking with his employee. He maybe Brandon Harrison Garcia and a sought bachelor billionaire of the city, but all these things where nothing if he didn't find her. 

She keep hunting him in his dreams and thoughts.

" It was fun roaming the Hacienda with you, Zach. I couldn't wait to swim at the river tomorrow morning with you." 

" Why not? It helps you become healthy. And you're body changed a lot." Zach couldn't hide the adoration from his stares. 

" And it's all because of you, Zach. If it weren't your suggestion, I will never do it. You know that I'm afraid to swim, right. Thank you for boosting my confidence. " Her dimples show when she smile. 

" What are bestfriends for? I love you and I'll do anything for you." 

" I love you too, Zach. " She hugged him tight. Zach almost choke with her declaration. He felt like he was in cloud nine. 

If only she knew what he felt for her since they were young. What would Candice do if he confess to her? Will she get angry or accept him? He kissed the top of her head. 

" Get inside the house now, Candy. It's getting late. I'll be back tomorrow morning, 'kay? "  He said trying hard not to kiss her inviting red lips. 

She nodded. " I'll wait for you, then. Goodnight, Zachy. " 

" Goodnight, Candy." He kiss her cheek before going to his pick up. 

Candy was very happy as she studied her naked body in the full length mirror in her bathroom. She felt confident with herself now that she was fit. Her stomach was flat, she couldn't beleived that it was fatty four years ago. Everything about her screamed sexiness and beauty. 

She wondered what will  Brandon Garcia's reaction if he sees her now? 

" He will plead for her forgiveness! " She whispered angrily. She will never beg for him again. She had Zach in her side and he was enough for her. 

In the morning, she decide to wear a red sexy bikini. She wanted to feel sexy for the first time today. 

" Wow!  You're so sexy in that red bikini. " Zach praised her outfit. " I might be in trouble later. " He added. Her sweet smile plastered in her face.
