It was sunny outside. And Candice eyes was sparkling with anticipation. Today is the scheduled arrival of her boyfriend Brandon after attending a one week conference in Singapore for the aspiring engineers.

He was currently the head engineer of Harrison Construction where she was also employed as an accounting staff.

She was looking outside her window when Candice decided to dial her boyfriend's phone number, she can't wait to say hello to him because she misses him so damn much! it's been seven days since she last saw him. She heard his phone ring three times before Brandon answer it.

" Fine. " Maybe he was just so tired to say it. So she busied herself with the household chores until she felt tired and decided to stop.

Brandon smirked after he cut the call. He was telling her a lie. He wasn't really sick. Actually, he was physically fit to have fun with his friends tonight at the bar. He was just bored. He misses partying with his friends and Candice would surely not understand him. Because she was so innocent and good and almost like an angel to his eyes. He sees her as a perfect person who wouldn't make mistakes.

He sigh. How is he going to tell her that he wanted out of their relationship? He was sick of listening to her antics when in fact he wanted adventure and Candice was not like that. She was very sweet to the point that he hated it. He wanted her to be different !

Brandon smiled wickedly. Candice beleived his alibi. She had no idea that he was just bluffing. He was looking for the right time to tell her the truth. Honestly, he didn't love her. His phone rang again. He immediately took the call.

" Hello, Jake. " He answer.

" Well hello Brandon, my man ! How's the conference going? " Brandon chuckled.

" It was good. Anyway, why did you called? " Jake laugh on the other line.

" Because I have a good news for you, man. " He paused fo awhile. " Arlene will be at the bar tonight. Do you still remember her? "

How can he forgot Arlene when they had past encounter ? She disappeared like a bubble without any trace. For awhile his heart stops from breathing. He could not even speak to his friend.

" Hey, man. Is something wrong? " He asked worriedly. Jake doesn't know his past with Arlene.

" I-I'm fine man. I'll meet you guys tonight at nine pm. " He changed the topic because he didn't want to answer his question.

" Yup! I'll see you tonight. " Jake said before hanging up the call.

Brandon massage his forehead while breathing heavily. The memories from his past was all coming back to him now. He thought that his past has been long buried along with Arlene's disappearance, but he was wrong.

It hunt him now.

He went to his mini bar. Got a glass of vodka and drink it straight. The hard liquor rushed down to his throat. He wanted to ease his mind so he resorted to this. He close his eyes.

Brandon was preparing for his night out. For his outfit, he wore a black shirt and a tattered blue jeans. And for his feet, he wore loafers. He sprinkled himself with perfume before heading out his house.

He didn't want to appear very excited to see Arlene that is why he played cool. When he got to their place, Jake immediately noticed him.

" You're so late, man! Arlene's been looking for you. " Jake said grinning. His eyes teasing at the same time. But he ignored Jake instead he approached their other friends. Jake just shook his head while looking at him.

After saying hello to his other friends, Brandon felt a hand on his shoulder. He stood straight. He knew immediately that it was Arlene because the perfume she used was so familiar to him. Only one woman he knew was using that scent. It lingers to his nostrils. He couldn't helped but close his eyes.

" You've grown so tall and lean. " She continued talking while Brandon just stood there.

Before Brandon promised to himself that if their path crosses again, he will definitely have his revenge with her. But what happened now? He's completely love strucked with the woman who hurt him. They totally forgot that they were inside this noisy bar.

Their eyes met. It seems that they teleported from other place where there are only two of them. He cupped her cheeks and descended his face to hers. And then he gave her partly opened lips with a mind shattering kiss. They seemed to forget the people around them.

" God! I missed you damn much! " He said desperately to Arlene when they broke the kiss. They are both smiling now. Brandon recovered from his ill feeling awhile ago. " Where have you been from this past years, hon?" He asked her with a sparkle in his eyes. They were currently inside his car.

" I'm sorry, I was forced to leave the house without saying goodbye to you, before. I didn't know that Arman discovered our relationship. I have no choice but to leave you before he could sue me for child abuse. " Her eyes was pleading. He didn't know that his father knew it all along.

" It's alright, hon. What's important is you're here with me now. I promise no person can separate us again. Even if it's dad. " He said it with convection. He totally forgot her relationship with Candice because of the woman inside his car.

" Good morning, Candice! " Donald greet her sheepishly.

" Good morning too, Donald ! " She greeted back. Eventhough Brandon didn't pitch her, she was still happy because at last he will going to see his boyfriend today.

Donald was her co-worker in the Accounting department of Harrison Construction. The first time they met they clicked immediately. He was a natural comedian that she love to listen to his every jokes.

" I'll help you with that. " It was not a question but a confirmation. She handed her other things to Donald.

" Thanks, Donald. " She is grateful to him.

" You're welcome, miss. " He smiled sweetly to Candice. She answered him with a sweet smile also.

"By the way, let's have lunch together later, okay? "

She pretended to be thinking. How can she tell him that she and the owner of the company is in a relationship?
