ARIA
I was only five, innocent and clueless. I was made to stand on a platform in the center of the a dark room. I didn’t understand why I was there or why I wasn’t wearing clothes on my body. All I knew was that there were men, lots of them in black suits and their eyes were locked on me like vicious predators. Thick cigars sat between their fingers, and each one had a scary man behind him, also dressed in black suits and shades. Those men standing occasionally whispered things to the ones sitting. "Four hundred thousand dollars!" a deep voice shouted. "Eight hundred thousand!" another voice countered. Emily was the only woman in the room, she stood beside me and whisper instructions to me. She was the closest thing I had to a mother. She taught me everything I knew at that age. I only got to know that she wasn't my mother when her son Daniel, who was two years older than me told me. Emily was a care taker employed to look after me and this place was the only home I’d known, for as long as I could remember. I wasn't allowed to leave my room or interact with anyone else except Emily and her son, Daniel. I didn’t even know where I came from, or how I got here. However, Every night I kept having this scary dream of two cold bodies in a pool of blood. A blonde woman, naked, her thighs looking like they’d been broken with force and the second body, was that of. A headless man, lying beside her. I had no idea who they were, or why I kept dreaming of them. Emily touched my shoulder gently, then she leaned in, and whispered, “Turn around, sweetie.” I obeyed and turned slowly. “Five million!” A man suddenly called from the back. The room went quiet for a moment, no one could challenge that amount. A man in a gray suit approached us and whispered something in Emily's ear. She nodded quickly, then turned to me with a smile that didn’t reach her eyes. “Come on, sweetie, let’s get back to your room.” It was finally over, I stepped off the platform and gazed up at her. She smiled back weakly, held my hand and walked me down the narrow hallway, back to my room. I could still hear the men talking and laughing behind us. “She’ll make a nice doll for my boss” one voice said with a chuckle. I didn’t know what that meant but somehow, I knew it wasn't good. Daniel, Emily's son was inside my room, reading when the door opened. My eyes lit up when I saw him but as soon as he stood up , he walked to his mother and asked the question I hate to hear. “Can we go home now, Mom?” “Just a minute, honey. I need to get Aria ready,” she said, and brought out a new dress from a fancy bag. She got me all dressed up after which she knelt down, looked me in the eyes, and touched my cheek. “You did great out there, sweetie,” she said softly. “So brave. I’m proud of you.” I looked up at her. “Am I going somewhere?" She paused, then sighed and brushed my long hair behind my ear. “Yes.” “With you and Daniel?” I asked again. She smiled — the kind of smile that meant “no.” Then she shook her head, her eyes were sad. “No, sweetheart. But you’ll be taken good care of. It’s… it’s…” She paused, as if the words were too heavy to say. “It’s a .....a...good family. They will adopt you. You have to do whatever they say so they’ll take good care of you. Understand?” She had tears in her eyes. Seeing her like that, summoned tears in my own eyes and I allowed them to roll freely down my cheeks. “Hey, honey, you don’t have to cry. I promise to visit,” she said gently and cleaned my face. “I don’t want to go anywhere. I’m scared,” I sobbed and hugged her tightly. She wrapped her arms around me and kissed my forehead. "It's okay honey, it's okay". She whispered and consoled me. Daniel came over and joined the hug. Just then, the door opened. Daniel immediately stepped back in fear as two scray looking tall men in black suits walked into the room.“Don’t say that nonsense!” I growled. “You have an entire army. You have a legacy. You have a city! Don’t you dare act weak for her—” I wanted to tell him everything. I had the recording. I had the power to destroy this fantasy and rip her mask off. But the words stuck in my throat. Because no matter how much I hated it… she made him truly happy. “You’re crying,” he said softly. I quickly brushed the tears from my cheeks. “It’s your fault,” I muttered. “You scare me to death every time you talk like you’re already gone. Why can’t you just fight?” He gazed down at me, eyes tired but steady. “Honestly, I’ve been fighting these feelings for so long. Trust me, I tried. Everything I did—keeping her as my little slut pet—was my way of killing every emotion I had for her.” He tapped his chest. “But I can’t fight forever, you know?” I sniffled and looked away, jaw clenched. “Why does it have to be that bitch? What if she’s been pretending this whole time just to trap you?”
I didn’t answer her . I didn’t even glance back. Her soft chuckle followed me out. “She’s always acting like such a meanie, but I love her. Deep down, she’s a total softie.” I stopped dead in the hallway, fists clenched so tight my nails bit into my palms. Embarrassing me in front of her little Barbie squad. I am the face of war and the commander of this city’s army, and she was reducing me to one of her giggling minions. Celebrate with my her,my ass. I fucking hate that bitch. Oscar-level actress, switching from cold-blooded assassin to bubbly social butterfly in the blink of an eye. It's time to put an end to this madness. When I stepped out of Zayne’s headquarters, my men were already stationed in front of the building. Viper straightened as I approached. “Any updates from the hospital?” I asked. “Lord Zayne asked about you, sir. We told him you had something urgent to handle and that you’d ordered us to stay behind.” “And headquarters?” “Nothing to repo
Just then, a sharp knock echoed through the room. We both turned toward the door. It couldn’t be Zayne—he wouldn’t knock on his own door. “Come in,” she called before I could even open my mouth. Four servants walked into the room, followed closely by a guard. The moment their eyes landed on me, they dropped into deep bows. “Sir Venom!” The blonde bitch shifted instantly. The sharp-tongued viper vanished, replaced by a delicate, glowing flower. She beamed at them with wide, innocent eyes. “Hi, friends!” she squealed, rushing forward. “It’s so good to see you all again!” *Friends?* I scoffed under my breath. She was really committing to this ridiculous act. To my disbelief, they swarmed her with hugs, their voices overlapping in excited chatter. “We missed you so much!” “You look so pretty with your hair up like that!” “Thanks, Hannah,” she replied, giggling. “You’re absolutely angelic.” “Aww, Stacy,” she cooed, her voice soft and sweet—like she couldn’t hu
I rolled my tongue and met her gaze. Her eyes held more moisture now. “That hit deep, doesn’t it? I should congratulate you. You’re indeed fearless to raise a finger at me.” I gave a mocking smile. “Fearless?” she said, and laughed. The switch was so smooth it triggered me, but I stayed composed. How she went from almost teary to this all over again. She clicked her tongue and turned to me. “It takes nothing to slap you… calling it fearless makes you more delusional than I thought you were.” I cursed inwardly. What is the matter with the bitch acting like she is the owner of this city? I have never had such a long conversation with an enemy I have to eliminate, and here I am arguing like some bitch because of this bitch. “I do respect you, Venom.” She said it with a shrug. “Apart from that bastard Zayne, I know you won’t be so easy to deal with.” She then sighed as though this was just a game to her. “You were the only one in this rotten city who actuall
“What are you waiting for? Go on,” she said softly at first, then louder, sharper. “Hit me.” I put my fist down slowly. Her lips curved into a smirk. “Oh look you wouldn't dare.” The Vince bitch was messing with me. I didn’t hit her—not because I couldn’t, but because I’m still trying to understand Zayne. One careless step, and it would become a much bigger problem. She suddenly laughed under her breath and folded her arms. “Are you scared?” she added, tilting her head. “Scared of what happens after? I expected so much from you, what a pity". My jaw tightened. “You think Zayne will protect you?” I asked, finding my voice. “You really believe he’s stupid enough to fall for this little trick of yours?” “Oh, he’s not only stupid,” she said, stepping closer. “He’s just… ruined. He’s emotionally down, and I’m going to use that to tame him and break him". It seems she isn't hiding anything anymore. Her fingers brushed her own lips. “The bastard craves me,” she whispe
I opened my mouth to say something but I was completely out of words. "Oh I am sure the owner of this city will smile at the sight of a lowlife bitch bullying his precious, Aria." My blood boiled. "Owner?" I snarled, stepping into her space, using my height to try and dwarf her. However, she didn't back up nor feel small by the way she acted. I didn't expect this confrontation to be easy anyway but the fact that I am arguing like a bitch with this bitch makes me even more angry. I don't do talks like some fragile bitch. Killing her shouldn't be that hard. "You think too highly of yourself if you believe you're more important to Zayne than me. I've known him for years. He is my bloody cousin you, slut! I've bled for him. Killed for him. What have you done? Spread your legs and played damsel in distress? Precious Aria, you think Zayne is the kind of man who is easily swayed by beauty? I can kill you and feed you to my pets right in front of him and he won't bat an eye!" Her smi
The guards led her up a twisted staircase. Then— A groan. A moan. A cry. The sounds grew louder as they ascended, the elevator having only taken them partway up. Whimpers. Sobs. Muffled screams. Wet, slapping flesh. Aria’s heart pounded. Her throat tightened. This was familiar. On
Aria stepped outside, muttering to herself, frustration bubbling up inside. “Where the hell is the main mansion?” She looked up and spotted the tallest building in the distance, about a stone’s throw from where she stood. “That must be it.” She took a deep breath and walked toward it, exp
Suddenly, he forced her thighs apart, dipping his head between them before she could react. His gaze locked onto hers—hers frantic, his burning with cruel intent. "Let’s see how much you truly hate me. Try not to moan," he taunted, his breath hot against her skin. “No—don’t you dare—you fool
"Fuck". He cursed as her muscles clenched around him, forcing him to slip out. "Why so tight? Relax, will you,"he growled, pushing back inside. He stretched her open again, but once more, her body resisted, squeezing him out. Aria smirked. She had practiced this‐--perfecting the art of cl
