ARIA

I was only five, innocent and clueless.

I was made to stand on a platform in the center of the a dark room. I didn’t understand why I was there or why I wasn’t wearing clothes on my body.

All I knew was that there were men, lots of them in black suits and their eyes were locked on me like vicious predators.

Thick cigars sat between their fingers, and each one had a scary man behind him, also dressed in black suits and shades.

Those men standing occasionally whispered things to the ones sitting.

"Four hundred thousand dollars!" a deep voice shouted.

"Eight hundred thousand!" another voice countered.

Emily was the only woman in the room, she stood beside me and whisper instructions to me. She was the closest thing I had to a mother.

She taught me everything I knew at that age.

I only got to know that she wasn't my mother when her son Daniel, who was two years older than me told me.

Emily was a care taker employed to look after me and this place was the only home I’d known, for as long as I could remember.

I wasn't allowed to leave my room or interact with anyone else except Emily and her son, Daniel.

I didn’t even know where I came from, or how I got here.

However, Every night I kept having this scary dream of two cold bodies in a pool of blood. A blonde woman, naked, her thighs looking like they’d been broken with force and the second body, was that of. A headless man, lying beside her.

I had no idea who they were, or why I kept dreaming of them.

Emily touched my shoulder gently, then she leaned in, and whispered, “Turn around, sweetie.”

I obeyed and turned slowly.

“Five million!”

A man suddenly called from the back.

The room went quiet for a moment, no one could challenge that amount.

A man in a gray suit approached us and whispered something in Emily's ear. She nodded quickly, then turned to me with a smile that didn’t reach her eyes.

“Come on, sweetie, let’s get back to your room.”

It was finally over, I stepped off the platform and gazed up at her.

She smiled back weakly, held my hand and walked me down the narrow hallway, back to my room.

I could still hear the men talking and laughing behind us.

“She’ll make a nice doll for my boss” one voice said with a chuckle.

I didn’t know what that meant but somehow, I knew it wasn't good.

Daniel, Emily's son was inside my room, reading when the door opened.

My eyes lit up when I saw him but as soon as he stood up , he walked to his mother and asked the question I hate to hear.

“Can we go home now, Mom?”

“Just a minute, honey. I need to get Aria ready,” she said, and brought out a new dress from a fancy bag.

She got me all dressed up after which she knelt down, looked me in the eyes, and touched my cheek.

“You did great out there, sweetie,” she said softly. “So brave. I’m proud of you.”

I looked up at her.

“Am I going somewhere?"

She paused, then sighed and brushed my long hair behind my ear.

“Yes.”

“With you and Daniel?”

I asked again.

She smiled — the kind of smile that meant “no.”

Then she shook her head, her eyes were sad.

“No, sweetheart. But you’ll be taken good care of. It’s… it’s…”

She paused, as if the words were too heavy to say.

“It’s a .....a...good family. They will adopt you. You have to do whatever they say so they’ll take good care of you. Understand?”

She had tears in her eyes.

Seeing her like that, summoned tears in my own eyes and I allowed them to roll freely down my cheeks.

“Hey, honey, you don’t have to cry. I promise to visit,” she said gently and cleaned my face.

“I don’t want to go anywhere. I’m scared,” I sobbed and hugged her tightly.

She wrapped her arms around me and kissed my forehead.

"It's okay honey, it's okay".

She whispered and consoled me.

Daniel came over and joined the hug.

Just then, the door opened.

Daniel immediately stepped back in fear as two scray looking tall men in black suits walked into the room.

Tears slipped from her eyes and she let them roll down her cheeks. "I loved him, why didn't I say it? Why?!" She sobbed. Then she ran a hand over her head as her face fell. "But would things have been different if I did? I wanted to get close to Bloodfang and kill him, that's why I stayed with Vince even when I have the chance to leave that world. My purpose was to hunt Bloodfang and kill him before taking my own life. I grew up feeding on different cocks and bloodshed, no friends no family. Will all that be in vain?" Suddenly, a harsh buzz interrupted her thoughts. “Lights out,” came a rough voice through the speaker. The guards’ boots echoed down the corridor, then faded. The heavy security door groaned shut and silence followed. They are gone?! Her heart began to pound. This will be her chance to visit her new friend. Aria sat up quickly, brushed off her tears as her fingers fumbling for the key hidden behind the stone crack. She unlocked the cuffs around her an

He landed her a hard slap on the cheek. Her head snapped sideways, and before she could recover, his boot rammed into her stomach. She doubled over with a grunt, the sharp taste of blood filling her mouth. But when she looked back up, her lips curled into a smile, red-stained teeth gleaming. “As weak as I thought,” she rasped. The guard cracked his neck, fists clenched. His eyes burned with rage—and something filthier. “I’ll see you again. When it’s time for breeding, I’ll make sure it’s me. And don’t worry…” His gaze slid over her body like a snake. “I’m not small. Though I doubt it’ll be a problem for Vince’s little slut.” He turned and stormed out of the cell. “Bloody fool,” Aria muttered and spat blood onto the floor. As soon as she was certain he was out of the hall, she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, wincing at the sting in her ribs. Her body throbbed and ached in too many places to count, but her hunger screamed louder. She dragged herself to the tray of foo

Aria had relocked the iron collar around her neck and ankle, clicking them back into place against the bolt like nothing had happened. The cool metal bit into her skin. Her fingers trembled as she clutched the tiny stolen key. She pressed it deep into the crack in the stone wall behind her and shoved a bundle of blood-soaked cloth over it, packing dirt on top with a shaking hand. She sighed finally and laid back down on the freezing concrete, her breaths slow and hot.She stared up at the cracked ceiling, thinking and waiting. The words of the female prisoner she interacted with earlier came to her mind:"This prison is part of a vast underground maze. Designed like a puzzle. No matter where you run, it always leads you back here. Only the guards know the true exits. And even if you did escape, you have to be a good swimmer because it's an island surrounded by a deep ocean, filled with crocodiles. Let's say you miraculously got out there. The police wouldn't help you either. The Blood

The senior guard hissed through clenched teeth as he stepped out of the speed boat. It was about a 40-minute sail across the ocean to the main estate. The guards at the port saluted him. He nodded at them and walked toward the waiting cart, his boots crunching on gravel, fury simmering beneath his skin. "That fucking slut". He cursed as his hand clenched the cold metal of the door handle as he yanked it open and threw himself inside. The driver flinched as the door slammed shut with a violent thud. He didn’t speak a word. His jaw tightened as he thought about her. Vince’s precious little toy. His hand drifted to the front of his pants as he shifted in his seat, the ache in his groin still burning from the way her body had brushed against his—taunting him, playing with him like he was nothing but a dog on a leash. "That dirty slut knew what she was doing. She wanted me. She liked the way I touched her. That’s why she let it happen. That’s why she moaned. That’s why

The woman sighed sadly. “My husband… made a deal with them. They killed him and took me. Said I was worth something that my body could be put to use and pay his debt.” Aria's brows arched tightly in anger. “How long have you been here?” The woman exhaled as her hands cradled her belly absentmindedly. “Five years,” she replied sadly. “This… isn’t right. Why hasn’t anyone tried to escape? Call the police? There must be a way out of here,” Aria suggested.Even Vince feared the cops, she thought. “There is no way out. It's useless,” the woman replied. “I don't believe it. There must be a way,” Aria replied impatiently. The woman was surprised that she persisted. “Do you realize where you are? You have no idea, do you?” she asked Aria.Aria slowly look at her. “What… what do you mean?” Aria asked, a bit confused.Ofcouse, she was unconscious when she arrived here and had no idea where she was. “This prison is part of a vast underground maze. Aria waited for about thirty minutes after the senior guard was gone, then she curled her fingers tightly around the key she had stolen from him.Her breath shook as she tucked it into her palm and stood slowly. She limped quietly to the corner where the small neck cuff chain still connected her to the floor bolt.Sitting back down, she carefully tilted the shackle, feeling around the lock with the tip of the key.Her fingers were slick with blood and sweat, but she tried to steady her hands. Finally, she was able to unlock the cuff. She sighed and gently pulled it off, then stretched her neck."That fool underestimated me," she muttered. Then she quietly crept toward the bars and dropped low, peeking down the corridor. The fluorescent lights overhead flickered and buzzed in a rhythmic pattern. The hallway was empty early."Now or never," she muttered beneath her breath and rushed to the door lock and slid the key in.It didn't fit.Her heart skipped and her stomach dropped."No... no
