CHAPTER 21.1

LYLE had been noticing something since earlier. In the midst of speaking to Gian with his never-ending rambling about his line of work, the other male has not really responded to him properly aside from letting out a short hum or a quick nod. But he seems to be listening, though? What makes Lyle think that Gian was not paying attention?

It could be the way how his eyes remained on him, staring at him 'dreamily'? Or was it just his imagination?

"Gian," tawag niya rito, ngunit wala talagang konkretong sagot liban sa mahinang paghimig, "Gian, nakikinig ka pa ba sa 'kin?"

That question seemed to snap the male out of his reverie. Napatuwid ito ng upo at umatras mula sa pagkakahalumbaba. Ilang beses din itong napakurap-kurap bago siya nagtatakang pinagmasdan.

Alright, maybe Lyle was just fooling himself earlier about Gian, listening to him. It seems like the male was lost in his pool of thoughts while he was busy rambling here.
