Min Yura shivered due to the coldness spreading while she was inside the bathroom stall. Earlier some of the students drenched her with water and locked her inside. Although she tried to fight back, her strength was of use against them. Due to the influence they held, she knew that the door wouldn’t be opened any time soon, and this made her be scared. Of course, she knew that they were not outrageous enough to kill her, or it could be because how Youngjae did not want to be dead yet. There was a bleeding wound of her forehead due to being harshly attacked, and this made her feel dizzy. She could feel her consciousness slipping, and she had a feeling that sooner or later she was going to faint. Maybe that would be better since it meant that she wouldn’t have to deal with this any longer, and a part of her was really tempted to give in to it. But as she was about to close her eyes, the door in front of her opened all of a sudden, catching her by surprise. Due to it, a gasp escape
Getting closer to Ryu Yejoon, she extended one of the glasses holding the alcohol towards him. A smile was there on her face. Turning his head to face her, he suspiciously stared— an action of his she considered to be quite adorable although she did not think that she would ever have the courage to say that loudly to him. “For you,” she said, “don’t worry. I know that you don’t like anything with high alcohol content, so it is pretty low.” The last part slipped before she could control it, and she only stretched her lips further at the suspicious look he gave her. At first, she thought that he will be rejecting the drink. After all, although she tried to comfort him twice— which she wasn’t sure worked or not— both of them were not close. The only reason she wanted to do this was to anger Lee Youngjae. Seeing how Youngjae was seething right then was enough to satisfy her, and it pushed her to try further. Maybe he would get harsher on her tomorrow, beyond her imagination that too.
The two of them were in a restaurant. Ryu Yejoon was not reluctant when it came to booking the entire restaurant for themselves for the night. She wasn’t surprised to see him to do that. A proud man like him definition did not want the others to see him get drunk. Min Yura didn’t mind him doing so since she was already grateful that he was accompanying her to a drink. Right then, he felt like the friend that she lacked. The fact that he was willing to show her his drunken side meant a lot to her, and having him open up even a little was considered a great achievement to her. This drove away the possible thoughts of what might happen the day after this from her mind. Picking up the glass of alcohol in front of her, she winced as she drank down the content in it. She was impressed by Ryu Yejoon’s abilities when it came to drinking. He clearly drank twice as much as her yet he was barely drunk. Yura, on the other hand, was starting to get tipsy, and she just hoped that she wouldn’t
“So what will you be doing?” she questioned after much consideration. Since she wasn’t in the man’s place, this gave her no reason to judge it. His situation was way worse than her. He was way more attached to Jisoo than she was to Youngjae. Moreover, in a way, what Jisoo had done to him was way worse than Youngjae. At least Youngjae did not pretend in front of her and deceive her. He exactly showed her the type psychopath he was, and at this point, it was fair to say that he was sick in his head. But that same statement couldn’t be used for Min Jisoo. “I will do whatever she wants. If she is happier when I hand over my shares to her and invest in her father’s enterprise, that’s what I will do. All of this doesn’t have any value when it comes to her.” Seeing how he had honestly opened up about his thoughts managed to shock her, and instantly pushing her chair back, she stood up. Then, slamming her hands on the table, she stared at the man before her intensely. Her eyes showed the
Min Yura thought that he will be letting go of her once she was fully healed, but it seemed that he had no intentions of doing so. After resting at his house for a day more due to his persistence, she was about to leave the next day when she realized that the door to the room was locked. Seeing how he had the audacity to do that caused her to be baffled, and she immediately called the man to arrive right then. As she was seated on the bed, she watched as Youngjae stepped into the room with a smile on his face. This was enough for her to feel sick. Clenching tightly on to the material of the bedsheet, she watched as he locked the door behind him and was baffled. His eyes then caused a sense of danger to build up within her, and she realized that she was not comfortable with the idea of being locked at the same room as him. With her hands folded over her chest, she then stood up and voiced out, “Open the door up. I don’t want to stay here a second longer.” Not caring about how his
The next couple of days went with her trying to avoid Lee Youngjae while he approached her with a smile on his face. It wouldn’t be him if he accepted her rejection nicely. No matter how much she wanted to get away from him, he would force her to comply with him, and although she tried to resist him for the most part, he always had ways for taking things in his own way. Just like right now. Even though she did not want to go to the class with him, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her along. Since she had already learned that struggling against his strength wouldn’t bring her any kind of advantages, she gave it up. She did not want anymore bruises to form on her wrist due to how tightly he gripped it. No one looked at her with unfriendly gazes anymore, and this made her wonder how almost everyone in the campus was so good at acting. It was if a single command was enough to get them to change their attitude a complete 180°. The one whose sour face rivalled that of hers was Min Jisoo
It was tough for her to set up a meeting with Yejoon. Ryu Yejoon appeared to be adamant on ignoring her, and this made her annoyed. Although he wasn’t aware of it, she was doing this for his good, and having him show this attitude to her was enough to provoke her. Nevertheless, putting her pride at the back of her mind, she was finally able to get him to meet her at the café even though he agreed to spare her only a few minutes. Even though she wasn’t pleased, she could only make do with the situation because at the end of the day, this was better than nothing. The reason she did not send the recording to him because it was not safe enough. What if by chance someone else discovered it? Then, the consequences would be quite terrible. Moreover, she wanted to see his expressions as well and get to know what he will be deciding. With that thought in her mind, she knew that sending him the recording about it would be too boring. As the man stepped into the café— once again, the entire
“I really look like a joke right now, don’t I? I don’t want to deal with this anymore,” he vocalized, “wouldn’t be all fine if I just end my life? Then, I wouldn’t have to deal with all of this.” Min Yura did not know where she had the courage to do something this, but standing up, she extended her hands towards the man before her and flicked his forehead. Her eyes glared at him while he appeared to be a little surprised, and chided, “I am sorry, but are you fucking crazy? Even if my life’s a mess, you don’t see me trying to kill myself. You don’t even know what I am risking my coming to meet you at here! Lee Youngjae hates it every time I interact with you! I was bullied the entire time in the school just because I helped you the other day. Although I knew that this would be coming for me, I still helped you! Now, you are all of a sudden deciding to give up your life? Are you kidding me!? You are being totally pathetic. Do you think that life is easy? Stop acting like a brat! Wh
