I quickly turned, it was just Von calling me. He was leaning against the door, holding a white folder. He raised it so I could see. That must be the financial report I asked for. I’ll need that for the proposal I’m working on.

“Here, Miss Christine asked me to pass this on. She has a meeting, so she couldn’t hand it to you personally,” he said as he walked toward me.

Miss Christine is the head supervisor of the finance department and also one of Aaron’s godmothers. She’s kind, but a bit strict when it comes to work.

“Thanks, Von,” I said, giving him a small smile.

“No problem. Umm, are you still thinking about what happened yesterday?” he asked. I quickly looked away and busied myself arranging the things on my desk.

But he was right, I was thinking about what happened yesterday. I just didn’t expect that because of one mistake, I would lose some of my coworkers. I couldn’t really blame Sir Zach, since he’s the boss and it’s his right to make decisions.
